Start a "stake build" soon now in Aviva ---- I liked the article in Shares Mag. ---- The 450p and 460p levels are essential to overcome as i posted below but a small long at current levels to set the ball rolling, so to speak . !!!-- GLA ----- plenty of life yet left in the general Stock Market shenanigans , so be on your toes out there !!

Where are you seeing " trade of the week " on the IG website ? ---- which heading or article is that under ? I find the IG website a little confusing to navigate at times --- some of the headings are strangely not available at times !!!-- weird !!. I'm going to start building a stake soon in Aviva ---- good article in this week's Shares Mag. Has to get over 450p first and then 460p to really set it alight but a small posn. at current levels for an early entry might seem appropriate. I'm also going to go Long Carpetright ---- the naked trader has made a mint by Shorting this one down over the last couple of years ( i made some on it a while back ) . But he has now finally closed his last Short at current levels ----- an indication that he thinks the drop may now be over for the moment !! Anyways , got to be a punt atm. --- GL ----- woke up this morning to about 2 inches of snow , first we've had this winter . Beautiful sight for a while until the sun came out and within an hour it has all completely gone (lol) .

Ouch , ---- looks a real nightmare of a downtrend , back to three year lows atm again . But it is technically short -term oversold on a number of indicators so may be worth a small exploratory punt !! GLA ----

Afternoon All ---- late night, bad head , blood still too thick , resurgence of head cold !!!! Most defo. feeling my age atm. , fair and square (lol) !!! Optimus :-- taking note of IG's Joshua M. and Chris B. on the 1hour closed candle trading , to give the most likely market direction . I'm just trading Short atm. off the overbought 1 hour charts ( rsi and res. levels as dictated by the guys at IG ) for the Dow & Dax with a little bit of the 1 minute of my own thrown into the mix ---- Markets still too volatile and biased to the down side to go Long off the drops atm ( JMVHO) . Anyways , seems to be working as i'm picking up a good wad of points on the drops atm ( touch wood) . Long Gold again now @ 1226.2 --- fingers crossed for that !!!!--- GS : ---- well done on your profit. Like Optimus , i'm already in ITV and ETO . My Carclo still powering ahead nicely altho' i had to call time on the remaining 50% IMG long a few days back at break even !!! Got an order in tho' to catch any future potential takeovers etc. --- Tesco is just a wild punt !!--- Aviva dropping back a bit , i see, --- timed my remaining sell nicely , it would seem !! Again, one to watch , especially if the 450p level is re-taken and held . Mothercare has cost me money in the past , but will take a look -see !!!. GLA -----

Rumours over ETO haven't been confirmed ---- So just 15 mins. of fame , i suspect (lol) ----

My ETO spiking this morning on " talk " ----- May put me a bit higher in our Comp. --- Good news also for my real ETO long. posn ---- Carclo also powering to recent highs --- Just gone long Tesco ---- more a punt from recent drop than anything concrete atm . Waiting on a good Long re-entry level on Gold again ---- has done me very proud just recently !! Shorting the overbought 1 hr. candles and spikes on the Dow & Dax is paying off as well atm --- GLA ----

SP going great guns atm , it would seem !!--- Got to get over that 450p level and then the important 460p res. level after that -- Only closed half my posn for profit the other day -- just closed the remaining 50% !!-- Markets have been given a big boost today by the Oil prices rising --- perhaps due a bit of a pull-back now ?? We'll see !!-- GLA --- keep the faith .( and a few Aviva shares ( lol) .

The " dreaded lurgy " i have had for what seems like a lifetime is finally starting to wear off , thankfully !!. Optimus :-- My Gold long positions are powering ahead nicely , altho' i have closed 50% for profit now !!. My Aviva 423p long has given me my recent loss back --- so happy with that .--- GLA ----- how long is that nose of yours now Troaj ?? (lol) ---

Did reverse off the 422p ish low ---- more to do with the general market sentiment at the moment i suspect . Got my 12p loss back ( just ) atm. so reasonably happy with that for now !!!---- Selling volumes are very high tho' --- so may just take that 12p and step aside for now , we'll see !!--- GLA

Gents --- if my maths are correct then a PF containing £1000-00 worth of each share ( £9000-00) would now be worth just £8730-00 --- Only £270-00 down ---- not too bad at this stage !! GLA -----

Yep, can't argue with your post at all, i'm afraid to say , bud ---- Aviva turning into yet another excellent share to play the trading game with --- That , by its very premise, adds enormous pressures / difficulties to any potential or sustainable rise !!--- GLA ------- keep the faith !!!

I have no idea where the 431.9p @ 13.30pm comes from but the daily chart does show a spike up @ around 12.05pm to around 437.5p !!-- Been spiking every day this week at around the same time so i'd expect there have been daily Auctions ?? -- Hope that helps --- GL ---

Things not looking that good at all ----- Approaching daily rsi oversold in the short -term and bust thru' the bottom bollinger ---- so would expect a reversal of some kind in the near term . But whether it will sustain it or not is questionable atm ---- Support comes in around the 412p marker --- nothing else looks that positive atm except for a couple of broker recomms !!--- Anyway gone back in at 423.4p ----- the 412p supp. or just below it is a good s/l level . GLA ------ testing times .

Hmm ----- ex divi today but i was already out of my SB long posn. with a small loss yesterday !!--- May go back in at these levels now --- have to look very carefully at the technical and fundamental outlook for a few minutes !!-- GLA -----

Hmm, just realised it went Final Ex-Dividend today which would account for some of the drop !!-- Would have picked that divi up today in my SB account but it still would have left me at a loss given todays drop . But i must take more note of the Financial diary's .(lol) --- GL----

Afternoon All ---- Golden Ocean shares don't appear to be moving much atm (lol) ----- GS :--- Out of Aviva late yesterday afternoon at 441p ( 12p loss ) but my Gold long posns. have more than made up for the loss atm . ( swings and roundabouts ) . Don't quite know why the big drop on Aviva today except to say that it was showing a lot of technical weakness yesterday and it appears to have followed thru' today , so i'm glad i got out when i did ----- Looking to go back in tho' soon as it's rapidly approaching short -term oversold !!!--- GL ---- still struggling with a head cold ( dragging on a bit now --lol) .

Let's hope that today's closing level holds ( was res. in mid. Feb which should act as supp. hopefully now ) as next stop could quite easily be the low 400's again ---- My long posn @ 453p already under water somewhat (lol) --- GLA ---- we're going to need it , i suspect !!!!---
