So, by putting this in the last ops update, only 8 days ago:

"The Board of Ascent is pleased to confirm that there has been significant progress with respect to our long-awaited permits. Based on the last document received from the Environmental Agency we have good reason to be confident that the IPPC permit will be confirmed in the coming weeks. "

Implies to me, that new information has come to light for the BOD to firmly believe that (finally) the permits are imminent. I don't believe I have seem such a strong statement from the BOD, throughout all the false dawns here. I'm pinning my hopes on ARSO being true to their word... we shall all see soon enough! :) GLA.

The S/R has become very difficult... I guess no one is prepared to take it/us on without some kind of permit. It's very evident, despite what CH says.. no permit, no deal. Maybe the Slovenians know that too? Either way, we need those permits approving this month... if ARSO are true to their word, we should have them!! :) GLA.

Too true Bradis… I can see this being just a typical weekend in the Reso household in Slovenia... for me, I'm more a pipe, slippers and mug of ovaltine sort of chap!! :)

If I lost £45k on a share (even on paper)... my wife would be doing time for my murder!! :) Still, I am hopeful we will all do well here, given the permits arrive. GL anyway.

Debates on here today. Mystery ministers needing to sign-off, Russians are coming etc... who knows! I just know that for what it's worth, Colin has stated the company has enough money to carry on to year end. So what if the permit comes in October... those of us who have been in here YEARS won't mind waiting another month. It's not ideal, but at least we are close to getting it!! We may well have agreement with a S/R company, to take over as soon as it comes through? It's as plausible as anything else... GLA.

Just had an email from Colin... he's not worried apparently, everything on track with ARSO :) Let's see what next week brings us... GLA.

If the submission on 4th of September has not thrown up any more amendment requests... I guess the question is, how long to process the final IPPC permit? CH thought within two months, but it must be slower than even that. Looks like we will now fall into October, despite assurances given to the BCC in Slovenia... it's a long wait for us all, so I hope it's worth it!! Wonder what Colin's been up to in Slovenia though.. would like to get an OPS update next week?? GLA.

Not today.. ARSO reception is closed on a Thursday... pop in tomorrow, between 9 and 12, they're open then!! :)

Permit amendments submitted 4th September... so, approaching the fourth week, and still no result. Mind boggles how slow this ARSO agency works. Despite promises to review as a priority, they seem hell bent on delaying it. Have to hope they see sense and issue next week. Also, 5.5 months now and counting for the S/R. Let's hope Colin is still "engaging" with interested parties... GLA.

Indeed Monarch, it's been imminent for a while.. but I do think what's happened with the permitting has been a travesty!! It's not all blame you can lay at Colin's door. We had the permit, and it was revoked, then vexatiously objected too. I guess Colin hoped it would come well before now, and we would not be in the mess we are in? C'est la vie, water under the bridge... what matters is ARSO release those permits ASAP, and we get a good S/R result eh? GL.

I do know... that Colin has personally stated that the 456BCF of gas would be enough to supply 10% of the annual gas requirements of Slovenia for the next 10 years... he said so in one of his PODCASTS. Obviously, he's done so many, I don't know the exact one.. so you can choose to believe me, or not, I don't care really... just putting it out there!! :) GLA.
