This is a deal for the whole of the walgreens group, that happans to own Boots here in the UK.

their latest results showed $148b revenue and reporting a loss of $8.6b. Which goes further to reaffirm your point......they are hugely loss making, yes selling for a proposed $10b.

however on a huge revenue of $148b gives a purchaser a huge slice of that market!

In % terms the web will struggle to grow against all the new store openings, although at the right point….all Courir, Hibbet & Finish line web traffic will be pointed to JD’s own site(s)

I’ll continue to buy if it keeps dropping, I honestly think there aren’t many shares out there with the foundations of JD where you can be so confident of a very strong return within 2-3yrs.

May I make a suggestion......?

If someone comes onto this board, with a differing opinion to your own, (generally just trying to get a nibble), and you're comfortable in your own research and position in JD, can we just ignore? They will get bored and go away.....this board has been going round in circles recently and its a little tiring....same points being made over an over, week after week.

Stop trying to convince a faceless individual otherwise, surely your time is spent better elsewhere?

Johnjo was ignored and has dissapeared......possibly now back under a different guise? but who actually cares? Make money for you and your family and lets crack on.....nothing significant is happening here any time soon. Keep taking a great position and reap the rewards in 12-18-24 months time.

Not to mention their own brands Pentland have had in JD over the years, Berghaus, Ellesse etc……winning both ways.

I’ve been in the manufacturing game a good while, & Chinese factories always have a work around, goods produced in China & assembled in Vietnam/Myanmar. Providing the goods don’t leave the final territory with the item(s) fit for the same use as it entered, then it’s all cosha. Not that the market will understand that, but all in all, I don’t see much impact on JD even in worst case scenario

I would also add that the JD business is primed for Christmas gifting, kids, teenagers and young twenty something adults are the ones who get loaded with gifts especially footwear!
