If your synopsis below is ture, I imagine you could get around it if you have a spouse with an ISA, she/he would buy the same amount of shares you have just disposed of, and you would mirror this in your account if they were needing to do the same? So you collectively have the same shares between you, just flipped them into each others accounts.
Hope that makes sense, its only an Idea that popped into my head after your below statement, I am by no means implying any sort of advice, I am far from FCA regulated. Just an opinion/Idea
"Appreciate this is essentially about transferring into an ISA, but the thread also suggests you can offset any losses against CGT.
HS284 says you can’t do this if you sell and then buy the same shares within 30 days. If there’s a way around this I’d be grateful to know how.
