Problem is since they came back Parliament has done nothing. Only sat for a few hours. Arguments going on, some mp's switched sides! Speaker banned the ones who switched so 4 empty seats. Has affected who has a majority. High Court and solicitors involved as that may be illegal etc etc - even talks of requiring the army to step in😂

So yeah not looking good for ratification before election!

I feel his hand was forced with the press news yesterday. Would have likely wanted to wait a few more days before announcing it. Maybe straight after the opening ceremony with pictures and fanfare making a big flashy friday rns.

Though it does sound like it will be more than just a few days for that signature from petrochina.

Due to chaos at parliament this has dropped back down again quicker than I anticipated.

If they manage to get themselves sorted, there is still a bit of time to get licence ratified before elections on 7th December.

If they don't....will be into next year before anything sorted - so could even drift down to single figures by then. Flip of a coin imho.

I suspect it has just been talked about, or threatened if you prefer, during discussions with the contractors. These private discussions have then been leaked to the press so part of the reason for his annoyance on it.

I doubt it has actually been actioned, due to the lack of the RNS and you are hardly likely to RNS everything you are 'thinking' of doing.

They were fully funded for the KMUK mine build and they had 18 mill spare in the bank in KOD for ongoing costs and further exploration. Should be safe for a while dai
