I think they will do a bit of both. Government wants lots more for it's refinery so matd will go searching for new field. With a bit of luck Gobi results, although likely a duster, could be enough to point them in the right direction.

still no plant built anywhere, so much for the 5+ per year. Years of no progress - yet lets all reward them anyway.

Still low volumes but nice to see nonetheless and no major pullbacks. Although a tiny trade, I make that 3.5p paid is the highest since August 2023.

Just want to see that licence now and hopefully a bounce back to 9p+

The recent drop has been due to the abysmal parliament. Everything is in place, granted mining license and even the operating permit but requires licence to be ratified. Parliament can not get the backsides in gear to hold a parliament session and there is a general election on 7th December. So if they do not get sorted quick - it will not likely get ratified till 2025.

Interesting to note, after this placing Assore will hold over 30%, so although they have had 2 offers rejected by the bod - they could in theory now skip the bod and do a hostile bid straight to the shareholders ( assuming placing agreement gets voted through in the agm)

you know that the mali government stopped issuing licences in november 2022 right? they have only recently started issuing them again in the last couple of months. so stop getting your knickers in a twist and *****ing at bernard was out of his control.

Having had two previous takeover bids rejected by the bod and not put forward to the shareholders - they could theoretically bypass the bod now and do a hostile takeover bid direct to the shareholders. And with the dips since the 30p offer....I wonder how many would want to snap their hands off it it's another offer anywhere near that price.

Rns, Not the first time a placing has caught me by surprise and poor price right now too. Would have probably been better weeks ago.

But on reflection they were expecting ratification to have occurred by now and hence following that the miilf funding. So with it looking like a possibility of no rat till the new year guess it's not so surprising they will need keep the lights on funds due to delays completely out of the companies control.

That sounds weird to me, we know helium is lighter than air, so if you perforate more and move upwards, it will all float up so get stronger the more you perforate? Surely you should test from the top down.

Getting into production is the trickiest phase imho. Things can and do go wrong, long delays can happen. Then even during commissioning faults and issues can be discovered. Bernie and the bod do seem to be good at what they are doing, informing us as soon as they know of issues and finding workarounds ( generators) etc. Not to mention we have spare cash if required for any arising problems. I am very optimistic about the future here.

However markets do not like uncertainty and the bigger institutions will have no interest really - until they see the final stages complete and the first sales go through and can see the quality and quantities confirmed. I do not really see the SP moving much now until that happens - with the exception of hoping for a spike on the resource update.

Twitchy fingers and squeaky bum for a 3+ month wait. Just need to hold firm to your beliefs and be patient, even if issues do arise. I wish everything does go smoothly as they say, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

That's the stupid thing really. They have been granted the mining licence. They have also been granted the operating permit ( which does not normally happen till after ratification and everything else already in place) all government departments done their jobs everything ready to start building. But they still need it to be ratified by parliament. So it is pretty much guaranteed - but parliament cant pull their fingers out to even get started sit down and have a conversation, nevermind actually start work. It should be a very simple 5 minute job, everyone in favour of this licence raise your hands, motion passed - job done.

Certainly in a very precarious position. Funds would likely easily be available 'if' they could prove the plant works, with this final final last one fix, honest guv ( just don't mention the sorters or magnets that have yet to be resolved). It's not the cost of the fix itself that's issue, but the running costs for the next 6 weeks, with a list of debtors already clambering for money. And god help us if the fix does not work.

If he does not get the votes required for this fund raise - it could well be all over.

More oddness yesterday. GM has been postponed "uncertainty around a potentially large voting instruction against the resolution."

Some people putting 2&2 together to come up with 100, i.e. Canmax have voted against so GR has postponed it to try and discuss and rally the troupes before a new meeting.

All a bit weird, not seen a GM get postponed like this before. Likely nothing to do with which way the votes are going but a technicality issue somewhere - but then gain nothing would surprise me - it is GR and he is a wily old fox🦊
