if I remember from previous chat hargeaves, iweb, barclays, halifax were still trading it among others

but today nobody can....

I would have liked to trade it a bit - but both my broker and my bank changed it to be a sell only share, so just held it all the way, boom or bust!

poly was a risky but potentially good punt for me
before war was a ftse 100 world top 10 miner I was not really interested in it

after it plummeted I bought in at £1.40 a share, at that it was worth it for me
in this case not such much for the potential rerate - but for the forever 30%-40% dividend yield.

There is no vote yet, company are still looking into all options.
Also mention possible redomicile to Hong Kong but Kaz is their preferred as they have half of their business there.

Ideally they want to stay in Jersey but that's not classed by Russia as friendly which is restricting some of their operations

Although no sanctions directly on poly - they are affected indirectly, for instance unable to pay out a dividend as they cannot pay into the Russian shareholders banks

Damned Putin and his crappy war dragging on and on. If this had been over within a few months like all the politicians and press were saying poly would not have to think of doing it

poly is looking at all options. The move to redomicile in kazhastan is still only being looked into and would have to go through a shareholder vote first too. If the move does go ahead they obviously would wish to still be listed on lse in some form

surprised there is no RNS though, even if they do not no what the cause is yet, I thought they would put out a trading halted whilst we investigate message or similar

probably should have got out of vast on the spike but hey ho I'm still up . Though do believe it could go further when the diamonds are physically in their possession and think that will happen quickly. I have an auto sell set up at 1.2p in case it spikes when I'm not around. I will likely bail on that news. Likely another spike when they get valued - but that could be months away, I don't imagine valuing 129,400 carats is a 5 minute job.

I don't have much funds in to be honest. Most funds are locked in long term investments. So have about £1k in each of my 5 batches

I've split my short term trading funds into 5 - feels about right to me, to spread the risk a bit and potentially help reduce the amount of jumping in and out
4 will go into companies that look to have upcoming news/spuds, 1 tranch left back for sudden opportunities that crop up

I did get into delt at 3.15 but it did not bounce back up higher as I thought it would - only 5% down so aint end of the world

I freed up a bit of money and bought into matd, order only partially filled - but then the rest went through after hours at 16.35, first time I have had an after hours buy lol - gave me average of of 3.11 so about 3.5% up. That about offsets the delt at the moment
