but at the same time want a brand new phone every 6 month, the latest console and 4k TV ( soon to be 8k), a new clothes wardrobe every 3 weeks, haircut every 5 days, makeup and moisturiser twice a day ( and that's just the lads ), whilst going to the McDonalds and Starbucks drive throughs everyday and chucking their disposable vapes out the window!!

I know what you mean, I begrudge buying news stuff for the sake of it. Generally only do so when they finally give up the ghost, or there is a program which I need to use but will not run on my old tech.

Same with phones. I even accidentally put one phone through the washing machine! But took the battery out, carefully left it to dry near a radiator for a week - and it worked ok for another 9 month! the keys kept sticking a bit though lol.

but I do really fancy one of those Microsoft surface pro's - though I've been liking that idea for the last 3 years haha

I am watching but not buying, suppose you can see how market actually reacts on monday and buy into a rise if it happens

what do people think on vanquis? Could be a recover play here as has dropped over 25% on the financials. have increased revenue but profits down

also note that at this current price the dividend yield is now 9% - and it goes ex divi on 10th august

so you could end up with a 10%+ recovery play plus a 4.5% divi ( interim dividend so 5p per share )

That's a big down candle today and no hint of an upward tail on it, so could well drop more yet

but with those results and transformation plan due on monday it is tempting to be in at some point tomorrow...

30% down today but looks like issues before that and new ceo brought in to sort stuff out and found reporting of figures issues, SP down over 50% this month

depends if you think its overdone yet or is there more downside to come? result due in just a few days too, alongside the results will be details on transformation plan.

it's an interesting one. BB not much help, fairly quiet for weeks and obviously the ones chatting are none too happy.

but the timing of this RNS is slightly odd with the results due on 31st.

Has the new CEO decided to try and get a chunk of bad news out now? - so on 31st when market sees the report its seen as not that bad - and then sees the new transformation plan and decides that is good so SP lifts a bit? CEO seen as the hero and able to move the company forwards?

fundamentally though market cap is now only 50 mill - but they have 58 mill cash in the bank, projected revenue of 60 mill and 180 mill in assets....

it really does look like a steal at the current SP, even if it does bounce a bit slower

It can help sometimes too however. I had one investment where I was a little down but wanted to move funds to something else but when the sell concluded I actually ended up with a little profit instead due to the rates
