These beliefs are not based on any kind of credible fact, it's a tribal, politicised thing - 'Us against the elite'. The cheeto managed to convince a lot of people that he was on their side against the elite, just as virtually every dictator throughout history did.

All just very, very sad. I think you can trace a lot back to scrapping the fairness doctrine, once the news no longer had any responsibility to tell the truth, Fox News et al just created this alternative fantasy world that played to their audiences prejudices and fears.

Sure. Just to re-iterate, I hold 'anti-vaxxers' beneath contempt. You'll find that's a common position among scientists, and in fact virtually anyone who knows the first thing about public health. Including literally everyone who works for this company.

Now is a great time to reconsider being an anti-vaxxer.

I did spend some time on this subject. The official line is that we must be compassionate and understanding and gently explain reality, as to a child. To be entirely and anonymously frank, my personal conclusion is that antivaxxers should be moved to an island somewhere and nature allowed to take its course.

I apologise. I am very sensitive to anti-intellectual attacks. Typically those attacking 'Gates vaccine agenda' are not intelligent or helpful people. The anti-vaxx agenda has done serious damage to public health, and this is getting considerably worse. Largely because many people lack basic critical thinking and logic skills.

I expect those with any knowledge of public health to understand that Gates is, in terms of impact, among the greatest humanitarians of our times.

I will say this. It's not fair to try to dilute support for this share by associating it with gross ignorance, so don't do it.

Thanks - More luck than judgement on my part. I'm happy with the price, perhaps a bit less so with the volume bought to achieve it. Anyway, it's done now, decision made. Actually liberating to have reached my maximum as all I have to do now is wait for new information.

Absolutely nail-biting - this is about as exciting as it gets. Not many companies with the potential to have such a huge global impact in such a short time frame. Difficult to avoid attaching emotion to it really. But - ultimately I'm here because I like the chances. If it works, I doubt anyone will mind having bought the spike.

Hi folks. Just wanted to thank everyone who posted links to interviews, trials, results, etc. I take BBs with a large pinch of salt but there have been some good resources shared.

I started building a stake here on 18th March and bought my last tranche today, with an overall average of 39p. If I'm honest, I did not expect to be averaging down this close to results, and my stake is bigger than originally planned. However, outside the share price not much has changed - if anything, the odds have become more attractive as the price falls back. Or at least that's my justification :) It looks like I have Acacia to thank, at least in part.

I imagine most of us are in it for the hospital results now, so we'll sink or swim together. I'm sure we all know we're taking on huge risk here. Personally, even with the most optimistic read, I don't think we can put any better than 50-50 chances of a statistically significant result on the primary endpoint. However, in my best judgement the upside significantly outweighs the downside and those are the bets worth taking... even if most of them lose.

Whatever happens, well done to our company for reacting, adapting, and delivering results from the front lines of science. If they're not what we hope, at least we've contributed to the search. And well done to us for funding it. If we make our return, we will have earned it and if not, we will have tried. Good luck all.
