RE: Virology of Covid Attacks22 Aug 2020 20:25
Many thanks Killery, really interesting. It sounds amazing in HIV and promising in cancer. Can you or anyone help me with some questions focusing on use in COVID?
Are there any known/potential downsides of blocking CCL5/RANTES?
Contra-indications? Interactions?
Obviously preventing cytokine storms is highly desirable, but what about the capacity to fight the virus itself? Is inhibiting the immune system in the early stages a good idea?
Which co-morbidities do you see this being most helpful with?
In the recently completed trial, why target mild cases?
In the topline readout, why the focus on day 3?
My first impression of management is poor - sloppy errors, poor timing, unconvincing communication and seem to have made unnecessary enemies. Am I being unfair, or if not, can those problems be overcome?
I guess it ultimately comes down to results.
