So yesterday / last night was really good. As people have said it only comes into force when there’s more than one person performing. For me it’s always been the case. Stefflon Don was amazing, I knew there was no way she would be performing on her own. At that point the stage really came to life and if that hasn’t caught eyes then I don’t know what will.
The YouTube viewers we’re pretty minuscule in comparison to what they could have been but the good news is the numbers were going up by the hour. I watched them go from 1.3 up to 2k so people were staying engaged. The great news for us is that the App propelled to number six. This means we have lots more users on the platform. I’m surprised that there isn’t another free event on the splash screen. If ever there was a time to promote when the MGK gig would be NOW IS THE TIME. Again silly marketing rookie errors. Perhaps they want to try a test and monetise it from the go? I’ve been reading all sorts to understand the App Store metrics and there’s lots of conflicting information. IMO we could have got anywhere above 64,000 downloads but this is pure speculation. I have no doubt that today should be higher with hopefully the ‘word kicking in’. I can see they’re still having problems with penetration. I couldn’t see a post on Stefflon Dons social channels but perhaps I’ve missed this?? You would have thought their social engagement should have been written into a contract. I have no doubt that eyes in the music industry are watching things unfold. We have everything in place.... we just need the users.
A quick survey to the wife. If you could watch an Take That gig on this and chat to your pals at the same time, would you like this?... she replied ‘absolutely’
