This is great news Themis. It’s a bloody pain having to contact them as ask them to port over concerts. I like to test the quality difference between Quest and Mobile.. certainly a good step in the right direction and one less headache for the team.
I don’t think they would have a 30min live gig for sale with Live Nation. It’s got to be as comparable to the real thing as possible. It would certainly be in their best interests to start exploring stuff like they have done in the football. Watching a game with the sounds played in and monitors mimicking people in the crowd is so much better than the empty stadium. I brings it to life. I think the 30 min slots for MelodyVR are fine for their library building but not for a paying gig. Supply and demand... if Live Nation make more from the first gig than they do the real gig then it’s a no brainier. Every single concert will be beamed through MelodyVR including all the HUGE acts with and without crowds... Seeing live sold out show is finally in the post. Who’s Kat Dahlia? Have I missed this one or is she a new ones that beaming live in LA?
Here's a question for you.... How much do you think a live gig should be? I've racked figures about in my brain and compared to how much they would get if the venue was full. Obviously the venue would sell drink, food and the bands merchandise. It's certainly an interesting story to see unfold. Personally I'd like to see it at £10 but think it may be £20 or higher. What a perfect time for MelodyVR to piggy back their viewer onto a sale or an up-sale but I don't know if its on the production line or not.
The_Modeller.... being is 163 doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. To hit the top 5 really on just one event was really unprecedented. If tickets are getting sold via Ticketmaster then they do the advertising for us.. The dice has started to roll and we've started of with a free shot.
Wow... well today I made a vow not to check my MVR... to stay away from the board and focus on work and family life... Had a great day taking my 2.9 year old to the park and just couldn't resist myself.... BOOM!!! BINGO!!! JACKPOT!!! I couldn't believe the news. This is one of the tings I've been waiting for... this is colossal news. To be able to purchase tickets via Ticket Master is HUGE! The promotion that's in store for MelodyVR is superb. As we've said this is ideal timing. There's a hunger for fans now to support their artists after they've given many FREE concerts, especially ones that have a full backing of the Melody VR production behind them. Lets hope this leads to an explosion of users to the platform. Honestly thought the SP would have jumped much higher with this news but no doubt word will now truly start to spread on news of the first event. As soon as these gigs are launched we can hopefully expect an influx of paying customers and also some excellent material to add to the catalogue. Over the next few months we could also see the user base finally growing via O2 depending on what the subscription includes... very happy boy at this end (for a change)!
Hi Keith Lemonade
Sonos just released their Sonos S2 app with is completely different from S1 so lots of people will he still upgrading downloading the new app!
For me it's now over to MelodyVR to keep the pressure constant. We simply can't fall into oblivion again for a few weeks / months bringing us back into the regular daily trade cycle. We all know this will happen over the next few days so lets just see if we can get some unhappy faces. We know Machine Gun Kelly has been at the L.A, studio and yet there no sign of it on the APP so finger crossed this is in this weeks / next weeks roll out. All these individual performances at the festival will be huge for the library. It's just a shame they haven't covered more festivals that would have been planned
At least now the barn door is open and people can see in. I'm surprised there isn't any free repeats of certain shows from over the weekend to keep some people coming back on the platform or perhaps it's now an experiment to see who's buying? It's good to see the App going after the weekends target market by displaying similar gigs on the splash screen. Some of the Youtube stats thats been mentioned are way off. I was manually checking... perhaps people coming and going giving this high figure of 125,000 figure but at anyone time there was anywhere from 636 to 2200 watches. At the end of the day it's APP watchers we are more interested in. Over to you MelodyVR.... DON'T SIT IN SILENCE! Both me and Horse are in the same cart lol
Thats interesting jc1120. I tried on two separate LGs (different types) and also a Phillips and got the same. In my eyes the Glaso gig can’t be used as a comparison because the app was only released a few days ago before this it was only available using a PC and no phones etc... so getting to 80 for a brand new app was probably really good.
Something I got to add! A lot of people still watch YouTube from their TV app. When you called up the Wireless Connect gig it was fitting the full 360 on the screen making it unviewable. I know this is about moving forward but there should be no reason why they can’t detect what’s getting viewed and it could be changed accordingly. The gigs filmed in monoscopic so is really also made to show the directors cut from a normal screen. IMO this would have rocketed viewership...
So yesterday / last night was really good. As people have said it only comes into force when there’s more than one person performing. For me it’s always been the case. Stefflon Don was amazing, I knew there was no way she would be performing on her own. At that point the stage really came to life and if that hasn’t caught eyes then I don’t know what will.
The YouTube viewers we’re pretty minuscule in comparison to what they could have been but the good news is the numbers were going up by the hour. I watched them go from 1.3 up to 2k so people were staying engaged. The great news for us is that the App propelled to number six. This means we have lots more users on the platform. I’m surprised that there isn’t another free event on the splash screen. If ever there was a time to promote when the MGK gig would be NOW IS THE TIME. Again silly marketing rookie errors. Perhaps they want to try a test and monetise it from the go? I’ve been reading all sorts to understand the App Store metrics and there’s lots of conflicting information. IMO we could have got anywhere above 64,000 downloads but this is pure speculation. I have no doubt that today should be higher with hopefully the ‘word kicking in’. I can see they’re still having problems with penetration. I couldn’t see a post on Stefflon Dons social channels but perhaps I’ve missed this?? You would have thought their social engagement should have been written into a contract. I have no doubt that eyes in the music industry are watching things unfold. We have everything in place.... we just need the users.
A quick survey to the wife. If you could watch an Take That gig on this and chat to your pals at the same time, would you like this?... she replied ‘absolutely’
Holly crap is anyone watching live!!!... you need to be lol
Bonker99 for me it’s all about the numbers / artists / getting out there. The tech was proven last year at Wireless where they did a blinder, the setup with the team was top class. It’s all about publicity and getting out there. Perfect timing with probably every music festival producer hopefully checking in. Slowly creeping up on YouTube to 1.6K...
Ha ha don’t worry A1EX... chill.....the dancers and better things are to come. I have no doubt...
I’m sure the dancers will come Themis!! As the night / weekend progresses....
Definitely a grower The Italian.... fingers crossed word spreads fast throughout the weekend. Looks like the weather might do us a favour for a change... ??
Just as I thought. Really nice production didn’t expect anything less. The figures so far seem shockingly bad to me unless everyone’s using the MelodyVR app. I thought they said also Facebook Live? Can anyone see this? This company need people at the helm that can market it or a buyout from someone that’s got big purse strings... it’s got to be Facebook, Amazon or Live Nation for me but the figures need to be 100 x what they are. Perhaps over the weekend word with spread and this only goes one way. Certainly the best VR production company by a country mile. Fingers crossed next weeks a good week for the SP.
Machine Gun Kelly catching a flight out of LA... with hands all over Megan Fox... Lucky Barstool :-)

*couldn’t
Could agree more Rumfuddle with everything you’ve said. We’ve seen it all before. Until we break this cycle we are a day traders dream with big amounts of money consistently pouring in and then pouring back out. I’ve done it myself due to the predictability. This time I stayed in when the RNS was out about lockdown then nothing for many many weeks!
Perfect timing for them to drop the ugly bomb. Right before they're hopefully about to WOW the world. To be honest there's nothing in there that scares me. These figures will all be forgotten about after a good weekend and any investor that knows what's about to come have very little chance of bailing out now. So perfect timing for the ugly news.
The bad for me is their continual use of non exposure and their lack of ability to capitalise on their live events. It's almost as if they have a 'build it and they will come' attitude. This is the only worry for me. Everyone I ask has never heard about them and why would they when they have very little penetration on social media. Yes, this could change slightly this weekend but this really only appeals to a certain type of music. I've always said they will make a good money stash from selling the smaller 99p tunes. I still watch two of Stefflon Don performances from last year (she was top drawer). If they get a big pull they also have the chance of selling individual performances at a lower cost (because we haven't paid for the artist to be there (or i dont think so)) but we generate money from the sales. That's why this is also good and bad... Bad the fact that we've missing out on many festivals this year that could have really propelled us and put us in the front seat but also good for the fact we currently have a blank canvas with many eyes in the industry watching.
I have no doubt if there isn't any technical hitches at the weekend people will be hugely impressed. MelodyVR are really the first fully fledged production VR company that can offer a class 1 experience.
The O2 deal is pretty much currently useless as there needs to be a will to buy into the product. As more shows come on for subscription based stuff then I would expect them to catch peoples eyes then. It's great somethings are now free as we need as many users as we can get. I've found myself coming back on the platform more and more to watch the free gigs. This is exactly what we need people coming more and more to the platform an using it. Lets hope when they start to monetise the subscription then we don't start to loose users in their droves. I think there needs to be a fine line between free and what is subscription based.
Anyway.... onwards and upwards... I have a love hate relationship with this share.
I suppose thats not ideal Nb140. They'd be better changing that error page to also include 'Please make sure you have the latest version of the app.'
