Ferrochrome prices increase 15.4% for fourth quarter, says Merafe

The European benchmark ferrochrome price for the fourth quarter of 2021 has been settled at $1.80/lb, a 15.4% increase from the third quarter, JSE-listed ferrochrome producer Merafe Resources said on Tuesday.

That is a key point. Most resource companies issue drilling results. All Jubilee's tailing's dumps will have been drilled, which at surface, is so much easier and accurate than deep mine drilling. Jubilee seem to be reluctant to publish any of their drill results, which would quantify their resources, and which would make an unbelievable different to the perception of the company.

This site now looks to belong to Jubilee and it has been drilled. Check out the cobalt grades. No wonder Leon wanted to buy out the JV partner.

The Kitwe Tailings Project is located in the Zambian Copper belt, one of the world’s largest producing regions of high grade cobalt and copper concentrates and LME grade copper metal with several of the world’s largest copper producing companies operating in the area.

The Kitwe Tailings Project tailings dam has a footprint of approximately 750m x 650m and is up to 15m in height. Located within the granted exploration license, 21853-HQ-SEL. Samples collected from the tailings dam by CFE and assayed reported copper grades up to 0.93% and cobalt grades of up to 0.43%.

This latest Zambia deal where Jubilee take control over their projects from their JV partners is the most important and lucrative deal that Jubilee have ever done. Watch this space Homey. Particularly the cobalt space.

So far Leon has shown little enthusiasm for Cyprus. Colin and his buddies at Caerus have been talking it up, but hardly a word from Jubilee. Caerus puts out more announcements mentioning JLP than Jubilee does lol . It may come to something in time, but for the moment it's just a sideshow with Colin and his cronies doing what they do in promoting their little companies imo. The real scale and profitability for JLP is in SA and Zambia, from where I'm really looking forward to see JLP's next steps forward.

Jonah, Apologies for sounding callous, however compared to other opportunities, the Kabwe clean up is neither that big an opportunity, or Jubilee's historic responsibility. Furthermore, the risk of progressing a project which is involved in a class action would be insane. I can only think that Jubilee are waiting for a deal to happen between Anglo, The Zambian government and the World Bank, whereby they each contribute funds to facilitate Jubilee cleaning up and sealing the Kabwe dumps, which is long overdue for the residents. I agree that progress is very slow, however Jubilee can only move at the pace that the three much larger entities choose to move at. Lets not forget, that Zambia has had a default and gone through an process election, so this was not top of their agenda. Furthermore Anglo deny all responsibility.

On an investment basis Kabwe is not currently relevant to Jubilee imo. In the same way that Tjate is not really relevant, nor currently Cyprus imo. The real growth and scale is in SA PGM's and copper /cobalt in Zambia and that is rightly where Leon is concentrating Jubilee's efforts imo.

Bull, you're barking up the wrong tree worrying about this issue imo. Jubilee is the solution to the Kabwe pollution issue. The Zambian government, The World Bank, and Anglo American know this.

Until the historic class action is resolved against Anglo American there is not much Jubilee can do to get started. Jubilee has all the planning in place and has presented the case to The World Bank who were providing some of the funding for the lead clean up.

So whilst waiting Jubilee is cracking on with other projects.

My view for the dormant SP is that the copper figures are currently so sketchy. Once Leon provides details of JLP's fine copper processing capabilities, it will allow investors to put two and two together and have visibility on the true potential in Zambia and potential copper earnings. That's when we'll get the re-rate imo.

Furthermore, Leon has mentioned that Jubilee have been providing advice and an audit for the Zambian government on all their copper dumps (irrespective of ownership), which would have included Mufulira and the Konkola dumps, so JLP would be in a prime position to evaluate the most suitable copper dumps for re-processing.

On a related note. I do wish Leon would stop with the teaser comments in his interviews, OR come up with the goods in an appropriate timescale.

Once we have this information we will be able to extrapolate the true copper opportunity for JLP in Zambia ( and other jurisdictions).

Vedanta were an ESG nightmare in Zambia. They were eventually sussed, however the Zambian government went about chucking them out of the country in the wrong way.
imo back in 2019 JLP were on the verge of tying up a deal on the Konkola dumps before Vedanta had Konkola removed from them. Maybe both the government and Vedanta have learn't their lesson. Until the election result I could not see a way back into Zambia for Vedanta.
Jubilee are one of the very few companies who could deal with the Konkola dumps as the grades are so low at 0.20%. With Jubilee's fine copper expertise and their processing model of concentrating the tailing's on site, Jubilee could really drive home their first mover advantage in Zambia, and maybe even be the facilitator of a deal between ZCCM and Vedanta. Lets see how it pans out.

From previous notes taken during a meeting in 2019 with an engineer with knowledge of the Mufulira dumps, I was told that there were approx 95m tonnes of tailings at Mufulira.

As an aside, the same engineer also referred me to the 780m tonnes of copper tailings capacity at Konkola's Muntimpa TD5 tailings dam. Maybe if ZCCM and Vedanta can sort out their differences, then the Konkola tailing's dumps can also come Jubilee's way.

Yes, a very well worded email to Leon. It certainly sums up the way many JLP investors feel. Such an innovative company technically, yet they appear 3rd rate and chaotic on the communications front. I have taken it up with them many times, to no avail. I hope your sons email hits a nerve within Jubilee.

Oiler, well said. I've also been buying, however the drill rig contract announcement is late on the indicated 4-6 week timescale which is not great for a new company. Hopefully this can be a proper discussion thread as opposed to a fan boy thread. Overall this seems a great opportunity to take advantage of the churn from the placing. Putting my money where my mouth is, and hoping for the best, however there is no hiding place in this game. These guys have been successful in the big company environment, lets hope they can replicate the success in the micro cap arena. The fundamentals of the Buffalo well seem fantastic, just need to get that drill rig in place within the indicated timescale.
