Platinum is on its knees at the moment because Russia is dumping every asset it has, in order to raise money. This includes platinum.

SeisNav,
Could the refinery that JLP are chasing be the old ERG owned refinery at Chambishi? I have not kept up with events recently but it used to have a cobalt processing capacity of 6800 t pa and a copper capacity of 55000 t pa.
Last time I checked it was still on care and maintenance.

I very much appreciate the update from your SA perspective. And thanks for sharing your son's snippet re Zambia.
I believe I had a chat with your son in London at a JLP AGM a few years back. We had a good conversation after we'd cornered Leon.

Also I know chrome production is small beer these days compared to the copper and PGM's. And much of the JLP production is capped and collared under contract, however no one is taking any notice of the spot chrome price. Up $5pt to $300pt yesterday, with tightness of stocks reported at Chinese ports. That's some price.

I noticed that Sasol reported today, and they partially blamed load shedding in SA for their poor performance ,which seems (from afar), to have knocked sentiment across SA resource stocks today. As a SA resident with your experience in the resource sector, are you able to provide a view as to the potential impact load shedding might have on JLP's SA operations?

CAPE TOWN, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Mopani Copper Mines will secure a new investor by the end of this quarter, Zambia's mines minister Paul Kabuswe said on Monday, calling the complex owned by state mining investment firm ZCCM-IH a "critical asset" for the country's copper belt.
Ginandmilk,
If you're looking for a 20 bagger put AVCT on your watch list.
In the old days inter mm trades were classified as such. Currently the best indicator of an mm trade is a print with an immediate reversal, as happened this morning. Coincidentally three market makers moved their price positions at the same time of 9.33am. Hopefully a sign that they are tight for stock.
WINS look to be bidding for all the shares that are going at the moment.

#HMI has smashed its 150k 2022 target three months ahead of the year end; strong sales of its #organic #fertiliser anticipated in Q4 and into 2023.
#HMI has seen a slight distortion to its usual buying periods with farmers bringing forward their buying decisions to ensure they get allocations, driven by the broader #fertiliser market fundamentals.

I'm also looking forward to this weeks' update. However from the SP's reaction, it appears the rest of the market isn't.

Looking forward to the next couple of weeks.
Interesting that the after hours prints on Friday totalling 3,52448 shares were actually trades from Thursday lunchtime. They'd probably been worked over two weeks. I did wonder why it was relatively easy to buy volume through the last week.
It did go NT for brief periods on Friday lunchtime and then showed strength into the close.
An experienced trader tweeted that he'd spoken to the house broker on Friday and had been told "there were no blocks currently to be bought", so hopefully the seller is either done or taking a rest.
Mike, I'm heavily committed elsewhere, otherwise I would have bought a few more in the 10's. Let's see how we go, over the next few months.
Just to clarify. That delayed print at 9.06am is a buy.
