My take on this is that the FDA is slowing things up. They need to test our test against others in the market place, especially if the US Gov is going to place orders. They have already recommended one CDC test that didnt work, they need to ensure they get it right this time. I also think as many others have said that some sort of JV is underway:

NCYT arenow advertising for staff in the UK and have distributors stocking the test world wide.

To make the best of worldwide media attention, they need to line up their ducks first before the rns drops

I was referring to the fact that the Chinese were saying they have developed a vaccine and cure. My point was so it wont have been tested previously, no rigorous tests undertaken on humans so if they have now put it into production, how are they gonig to test it

That Chinese have developed a cure vaccine - and now in production. Wont have been tested on humans yet, not sufficient time so will clearly just use patients

Yea good old Chinese, bugger testing on humans for a while to see what happens - just test on human guinea pigs

Absolutely Ant, think that they must think that is reduces the chances of infection. Imagine if someone got tested, was found not to have it. Then later found that they have it and the paramedic that treated them. NHS would be sued

What ive read is that the preferred method is for an ambulance with paramedic to go to someones house and test them there s they remain quarantined in their own home The reason stated is that each person getting into an ambulance with symptoms, the ambulance has to be fully disinfected. this is taking time and reducing the number of vehicles out on the street.

Just read a post below and spotted this:

I think we are the second test and i think we will find that Roche are now working behind the scenes to assess how many kits are required in the initial order to supply. public health labs in Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle

This is only my take on it but seems a likely reason why NCYT were asked to be interviewed on CNN yesterday as they are the suppliers of the better product thats already used by CDC.

This will make NCYT a household name within the USA
