It wouldn't even surprise me if trading didn't resume 'til tuesday or wednesday just for this reason.

Indeed, it's not as simple as switching trading off and on again. You can't just release your figures at 7am and phone up the LSE at 7:01am and have your shares trading again at 8am willy nilly. It's not like ordering a pizza.

It seems to me like ore and refined minerals are commodities and are already in a well financed market. I feel like SYME is more geared towards manufacturing and retail markets even though the product may be conceptually suitable for monetising commodities or basically anything that can be counted as "inventory" by a business really.
The thing that specifically makes SYME unique is their ability to monetise assets in a specific part of the production process where traditional finance has never had a model to suit the purpose before, which makes the SYME product specifically best suited to sectors like manufacturing, heavy industry and retail rather than commodities.
Just my thoughts though. Anything they can feasibly monetise generates revenue and is good for us so the more the better.

I've always found that the spread on HL is larger than is reported here or elsewhere. Sometimes completely negates the worth of a trade under a certain value. That's across all securities, not just SYME.

This may get to £ values but it will be through consolidation, not growth.

Means nothing if there is a dilution on the table, which could happen if Harbour want to offer a larger proportion of their equity to the market. The deal could create £200m more equity for us as PMO holders and then Harbour issue another £200m in shares to the market leaving us net zero gain.

There are a number of instances over the last few months of delayed market reaction to RNS on this stock. Today's is a positive RNS so I fully anticipate the same delayed market reaction to this news.
It's also worth paying attention to the wider market. This is a down day across my whole portfolio today which gives me less cause for concern over a parity to the market dip in one specific holding, especially on a good news day.

People are really quite silly.

Based on the numbers they have been throwing about in RNS, I'm expecting more like £28m profit for 2021 currently, likely to increase significantly based on the current client onboarding rate.

I suspect that the lending partners will be bringing their existing clients that already have some kind of ongoing financing dealings with them to SYME rather than client companies coming to SYME directly, at least for now.

1. The "chairman" who doesn't have shares in SYME anymore isn't part of the business anymore. He was employed to facilitate a merger between two invested partner organisations. This process was completed in December and now his role is obsolete, making his act of selling his stake in his previous employer utterly irrelevant to the progress of the company and in that context a completely normal act. This is articulated in RNS on the topic.

2. The transaction funders are onboarding client companies, SYME are simply providing a service to facilitate the exchanges of funds/assets between the funders and client companies. SYME are a middleman only. The business model is one of a service provider in a new type of funding model between financiers and companies.
There are two points of income in the model for SYME - the first when a company signs up to the service they pay an onboarding fee which enable the due diligence process of assessing the inventory to be monetised and the viability of the company to be given the financing.
The second is a straight percentage cut of the financing that is provided to the client company by the funder. The "work" is the client company diligence pre-financing and the tracking of the inventory post financing.

3. How are we meant to know? Ask them. All we know is this looks like a good business model and we think the shares are priced lower than they should be for the prospective income of the company in the future. Lots of people won't be comfortable investing in a company that doesn't have a year's worth of trading data yet. Fair play to them and to each their own.

Anybody that wants to could answer these questions for themselves if they cared to do some reading.

10p to 17p is 70%.

I would gladly take either of those ROI at any price from any share.

I expect we will get a Trading Update at the end of the month (seems to be the norm for SYME) but I don't expect to see financials until the end of the fiscal year. Is it the done thing to put financial data in a Trading Update?

As I understand it, there was one director who sold his entire holding in December because his role at the company was complete. He was part of a restructuring process which saw two partner organisations merge into one entity and since that process has been completed he no longer has dealings in the business so has sold up and moved on.

I may have missed something there so stand to be corrected but that was what I understood to have happened.

This has been my worry here all along. It's very tempting to trade on this but it moves so fast it would be easy to get locked out of the golden moment, especially when there's so much in the pipeline that could result in good news at any moment.
