Well, if as you say it is supposed to work like that, there must indeed be a plan and/or a reason they have chosen deliberately not to resume trading yet. There certainly isn't anything in the interims that suggests they have anything to be worried about with regard to the continuity of the business and there has been significant progress in the time since.
The only thing I can see from the timeline articulated in previous statements that they could be holding back for would be this from the year end update;
"Early in the New Year, the eligible Client Companies will receive a formal, confidential communication from SYME disclosing the identity of the Inventory Funder and the time-table to execute their individual inventory monetisation transactions. Shortly thereafter, the Company intends to disclose to the market the identity of the Inventory Funder, the key features of the Inventory Monetisation programme and the targeted positive revenue impact for SYME."
If what you say is the case, then this is the only thing I could imagine them holding back on resumption for, a 7am monday RNS with a funder name and £Xm of projected revenue on it.
