I note that you recommended ARB as a 'STRONG BUY' on 19th February 2021 when th eprice was 290p

90 minutes later the market closed at 282p and the share price has never closed at 280p since and probably never will

Having a quick read it sounds like there will be a bit of volatility in the price of Bitcoin ahead of 8am CET in the states/

The bears stand to take a real bashing if the price of BTC is above $44k - it sounds like their losses reduce by 90% if the BTC price is between $40-42k

If i was a betting man, I would expect to see the pirce of BTC heading down towards that $42k mark.

My first post on the ARB BB was on 28th December - and on more than one of the posts that have followed I have said that i would BUY at 10p. For clarity the SP was 28p when i first posted

ARB may well be waiting a few weeks before raising - If they believe there is a big move upwards in BTC between now and 10th Jan it makes sense.

There are no guarantees though - if it was guaranteed there is no way I would have taken a short position and I would be piling into Bitcoin

Roger - I can assure you that Hexham and I are no team.

In fact, we have been locking horns on the QBT BB. I am bullish on QBT - whereas Hex has been part of a small gorup of posters who have been hyper-bearish for some time now

I've more in common with you than i have with Hex. You and I are both holders of ITS

If I was LONG on ARB I would be here as I am on other BBS, talking about the reasons, facts and therories of why I think it is a good investment

The fact is though I'm here for the oppositte reasons. I'm SHORT as I beleive this stock is significantly overvalued following a +600% YTD rise. I'm not making anything up, I'm just sharing the reasons for why I think there is more downside than upside.

I'm nothing special - I'm just another poster trying to decipher all the publicly availaly data here

This business has been 'in distress' mode for 18mths. The pirc eof Bitcoin is now up 150% YTD and it still will struggle to break even in Q4.

It has $70m debt and less assets than it did a year ago as it has already flogged Helios.

The halving event will sort the Wheat from the Chaff in a few months time. This double their cost of mining bitcoin overnight - on the strongest and most effcient miners will survive. (I hope ARB does survive for absolute avoidance of doubt )

And ARB need Cash soon - and certainly ahead of halving event

I have no beef with ARB - i just don't think they warrant a share price anywhere in this ballpark

Other will disagree with me. I'm ust a single Private Investor who has take a very modest short position . I could get burnt if this spikes before the fund raise

I'd be surprised if whatever they have 'in papers' would stop them being bought. One day, being acuired may be the best thing for ALL stakeholders

Absolutely I do, I expect the price of Bitcoin to hit a miniumum of £60k in April

The less efficient and weaker miners will need a bitcoin price higher than this to survive

Time will tell - would not surprise me to see Bitcoin spike to £100k in FY24

But nothing is guaranteed - which is why not all the ETF approval is baked in yet

I'm NOT a conspiracy theorist BUT if i was. Given the authorities have always hated crypto - it would be a pretty painful blow to crypto if the ETF did NOT get approved.....

Any researched investor on here knows that Argo WILL be raising cash between now and 1st April

It could be today, it could be the middle of Feb - who knows?

But they WILL raise or perhaps get bought b a bigger miner perhaps?

It's pretty clear that Argo - they may have enough cash to get through January or perhaps all of Q1

But one things is for sure, they will want to bolster their liquidity well ahead of the halving event in April which represents a genuine threat to miners

If they raised now - they could peahsp get £20-£30 m without having to significantly dilute shareholders. A raise at 20p would only require it to issue 100-150m shares whcih would be a great result, It has been a really tough 18mth for Argo and I doubt they wl want to take too many risks with the timing
