Is there any possibility of Palomar using AST's listing to become a public company - note the comment from Louis Castro re AST listing having value, to do this they, the BOD would want the AST share price as low as possible - job done there for certain.

At one shareholder event Carver said Poland was being explored as a possible areas for new projects.

Cannot rule anything out IMO.

The new BOD have starved the market of news since they were appointed, you have to ask how committed they are to AST, they own no shares and have no option agreements.

They were appointed at the end of July and there has been no material developments in the company since despite 'hints' in various media interviews.

During the CC John B asked for patience but how long is a piece of string, under his tenure the shares have lost 60% of value and are now option money.

This company is now a skeleton, has a project where £50m has been spent with a apparent NPV of £200m but AST is now valued at £3m - so far the new BOD have been a disaster for shareholders.

I am in no doubt the shares have been shorted to hell, I am aware there are syndicates who short any stock associated with a death spiral provider, at some point they will have to close but how low will the BOD allow the shares to fall before some news hits?

News is overdue and I subscribe to the view they could be breaching rules re material news on INA at least.

In my view they have 13 days to deliver some meaningful news before the Xmas period really kicks in, I also believe they are skirting on the borders of negligence by not updating the market on many of the issues previously implied, let alone them sitting idly by watching never ending shareholder destruction.

I have to say I was not impressed by the tone of Louis Castro on the conference call, there was no empathy for the shareholders as he described the most useless form of fundraising ever possible, the fellow is supposed to be a big hitter financier but the 1st move is to death spiral Riverfort, yeah right !

I have to say JB has been a major disappointment, he has delivered nothing following his very bullish tone of that shareholder event in March, that led to many folk buying more AST shares.

The thing with these guys is if they wipe out the shareholders there will be no-where to hide from aggrieved investors who will follow them on social media all over, many examples of former AIM directors whose careers have nose dived after various AIM debacles.

Trying to add as I feel the time is right, looks like most of the short term traders have left following the recent rise to 1.25p bid & I expect news on the debt restructure by YE.

I feel a decent move is coming here, consolidated nicely above 1p, on target to produce 70k-80k ounces of gold in 2020 - only £20m m/cap, cannot last.

I have taken some shares this morning as I am looking at the market cap as it hits only £3m - AST have a a project with an apparent NPV in excess of $200m provided there is a way around the log jam that is the Slovenian authorities.

I believe the only way out of this debacle is for AST to be sold to a company with local knowledge and finance to bring the field into commercial production, I also believe this is what the BOD are working on.

A sale of the Slovenian project would then enable AST to move forward for a new project in a country more suited to the company's aims.

I have never come across a O&G company with such a project valued so lowly, it is truly unreal how the BOD have allowed this to happen, all AIM stocks can add 100%-500% in a flash if the right news comes forward - an investment in AST is now a binary play, option money if you like.

Yes they do read these boards from time to time, how do I know, because I attend company events.

Bird was very positive about XTR two weeks ago at Proactive - I have added today, I think this is due a bounce, we know lots of news is due and they usually release it early afternoon.

Many juniors are re-rating and XTR looks exceedingly cheap circa £4m m/cap, more-so having just raised a decent slice of cash.

A good time to get in or add IMO.

If anyone has sold stock higher up now is the time to get back in IMO - I think we will shortly be heading towards 1.5p+

Market experience suggests that sellers come in after the news and take profit, you then get a consolidation phase of a few days and then buyers return - buyers have returned today.

With major mews ahead on the re-financing and operations improving it can only be a matter of time before we see the re-rate continuing.

I took another 250k this morning BTW, there was no stock after that, it then moved higher - small free float is key !

I have noticed that every quarterly news release from MTL has been met with selling and a subsequent drop in the share price - it was possible to sell at 1.25p prior to the results, the bid is now .90p.

Have also noticed that once the initial selling is over the share price quickly recovers to reflect the improving operational and fiscal performance.

In my view the share price will now start to recover, cannot see it dropping more, re-financing news my be in the headlights.

Time to add IMO.

I am curious about the 14% (62m shares) stake held by Sanderson, where did they get this stake from, note that they had previous links to Beaufort Securities. I do not think it came from the last placing.

Sanderson RNS'ed this position on 2nd September saying the transaction completed on the 25th August - the placing of 83m shares took place one month earlier and there was no mention of a major investor taking 75% of the stock.

Since this stake was declared the share price has been in perpetual decline with some very large sell trades hitting the bid, some speculation on ADV$N that Sanderson are not in the most healthy financial position.

I am a little concerned about this position, where did the stake come from, was it acquired through the Beaufort administration process, it was not bought on market for certain and I am convinced it was not acquired via the placing or Bird would have said so and I believe it would have been part of that RNS.

I suppose when a share price is falling people have conspiracy theories, but anything to do with Beaufort gives me the creeps.

The BOD have been saying since March they are in a closed period but I cannot believe this is the case for so long, Louis Castro at the shareholder event in March clearly stated he would buy shares in AST when he could - well he has not and is still using the closed period reason.

They have not placed this statement in a RNS which would have needed to be verified by the Nomad - in essence if this is an excuse not to buy shares in AST then IMO it needs outing.

I know there are some very determined shareholders here, deeply under water with significant cash invested, I would suggest either a phone call or email to the Nomad to ask if the BOD have been in a closed period, since March and are currently would provide accuracy.

The Nomad can answer this question (and has to truthfully) because the BOD has stated the closed period in the recent podcast and elsewhere, shareholders have a right to know.

Confidence in management is shot to pieces but this can change in a flash, £3m m/cap for a company with the assets AST has is balmy, get a well financed and well managed company with experience in dealing with local politics and they would make a small fortune.

My bet is a deal is being cooked along these lines, question is how much is in it for AST shareholders if so ??

The AISC rise is clearly due to new investment in plant etc, this often occurs whilst a company is in a 'recovery situation'

The most important aspect is that gold production is increasing and the positive outlook concerning debt re-structure.

On target to produce 80,000 oz pa next year with a circa £25m m/cap - peers are valued circa £150m - £200m, get the debt restructured and it's happy days.

I wonder if the 250k buyer will be gathering up stock again today.

A great update - nearly 19,000 oz produced and generating a decent level of free cash despite lack of historic investment in plant.

They seem very confident of debt talks completing by year end, the re-rate will continue - on target for 70,000 oz of production this year, the new team are delivering !!

It is 'at best' on the most small buy order currently - there is simply no stock available - the background buyer is there for a purpose - I wonder how much stock the large buyer has managed to accumulate??

Good luck anyone trying to get in, when a stock is hard to buy for over 1 month there is usually a very good reason.

If anyone believes the BOD will turn this around (the podcast suggested they are working hard to do so) you will never get a better chance to buy at basement levels whilst volume is lowish and Riverfort are selling into the same thin volume.

Riverfort can only sell 30m shares a month according to the agreement - this means if buy volume exceeds 30m then there is the upside. You can see how quickly the market makers are prepared to mark up if they suspect a volume surge is coming - look how fast the offer moved to .16p this afternoon on modest interest.

What people need to remember is that daily volume in these micro caps can reach 500m+ under the right circumstances - that is very relevant.

News must be forthcoming on a number of fronts shortly.

At risk of repeating myself but I remain convinced someone is acquiring every line of stock that comes onto the market - every sell (and there are few) is met soon after with a buy around the same size.

My bet is someone knows what is happening, could be an associate of the larger shareholders or dare I suggest a market insider !

Still a great entry point, based on 80m oz pa of gold production this is a £200m company compared to peers - even taking debt into account that leaves a 5 fold prospective share price increase.

JB pleaded for patience from shareholders in the recent podcast, perhaps he is expecting a positive outcome from the appeal.

Once again you come up with numbers concerning Riverfort I can make no sense out of - I asked before to explain how you suggest Riverfort can make £3m from the funding deal.

Kindly explain clearly how Riverfort can make £3m, provide your working out for scrutiny - I cannot see it at all.
