We all know, that deals via partners take longer, get stuck and everything. They (probably Chris Cochran) closed it, which is good!!

What worries me is that the gap between the old guidance and what is actually coming in is so huge...

...but maybe January will have a postive suprise for us .

I'm not defending anybody who committed fraud! There were a lot of good and hardworking people at Wandisco/Cirata, they lost their jobs, while others were allowed to stay.

You might call them deadwood, I'd call a CRO deadwood, who's region doens't bring anything to the table.

No offence. Let's see if SK can turn this ship around.

Funny, the head of sales they had back then is now International CRO ;-)

What does that tell you?

Shouldn't we have entered the new phase months ago (according to some other videos). The banking deal with IBM originates in 2022, they had an solid sales guy in Canada who worked on it.

If we had 1 million in revenue for every well produced Cirata video they posted, they wouldn't have to withdraw their guiideline for this FY.

It is strange, wouldn't you agree?

A lot of people (you included and me too) believed the story that the financial outlook was real.

The slipped deals... Really?

They've been burning money during their wandisco days and they are burning money now.

It's not a different company, same CRO, a lot of the VPs are still there.

And yet, some still buy the story.

What will they do? Kick out the entire EMEA sales team (no revenue whatsoever), run a sceleton sales org in the US, keep R&D and CS in the UK? Sell the whole joint?

Somebody used the word deadwood, the problem is that they kept the deadwood sales team in EMEA (take Chris Cochran and the US out of the equation and they have zero sales whatsover). Renewals are done by someone in the US.

It's not that they are missing their target by 10%...

Even today, a little bit more information would have been helpful, When will the promised deals happen? Why did they slip? How many deals were talking about here?

I would have taken anything to boost my trust in Kelly, so far it's just his reputatipon that keeps that thing going.

Spratt, I did not say that their tech is useless, I liked the mulditcloud approach (a bit late in the market), but it just doesn't have unlimited potential. Adding AI to a marketing sheet doesn't create revenue.

100% agreed, withdrawing the guidance and trying to sugarcoat it with a deal announcement doesn't boost Ciratas or SK's credibiltiy.

A two million contract is cool, not so cool if everybody thought (or at least hoped) that he would keep his promises...

Another quarter with slipped deals, probaly not the last.

Kudos to Chris Cochran and the staff in Sheffield and Belfast!!

Again: Cirata mainly moves Hadoop to the cloud, Hadoop is dying species, we're not talking about endless opportunities.

I know Kelly has tostay positive, but if he's aware that Cirata won't reach their goal this year, it's overdue to adjust the narrative.

I'm clueless right now what is really going on... I guess we all are.

Also a bit scary, if the Q4 would really depend on one deal, I'd rather have several smaller deals to minimize the risk.

Again, SK is sticking to his FC, there must be sound base for his confidence.

You might be up to something, I think some of the stuff must have been real, because the story that surfaced back then didn't make sense.

And one these old deals or renewals could turn everything around.

As I said, I don't know what to think.

They would have crucified any other CEO given the sheer bumber of promises we had so far.

And again, I don't see SK as someone making false promises and he should be smart enough not to fooled or mislead by his team.

Maybe I'm becoming a sissy 😅, but I think my post doesn't qualify as silly...

The no presales people in EMEA worries me the most, even if the channel is the future for Cirata, you need presales ressources.

Call someone at Cirata, tha's what I did.

I think he is quite accurate about the sales and presales ressources.

There is the CRO and SDR kind a guy and partner director in th UK, another junior guy in in Ireland. With all due respect, not the setup for a few million in the next few days.

Presales in EMEA just the VP.

Check with someone at Cirate, they should be able to confirm that.

Let's hope that Chris Cochran has something cooking.

I don't know what to think, I spoke to a few people and they weren't that optimistic.

In my 25 years in the industy I've never seen orders coming in between Xmas and New Year.
