Sure, partner business is crucial for Cirata's growth and I think Keating knows what he's doing. I said many times, setting up a working channnel eco-system takes a while, but we've been there before...

How many times have we been told, that the turnaround is complete? Looks more like a 360 degree turn to me.

We've been there before... He (they) had some engagement in South Africa, did it lead to anything? Nope.

Having a real sales guy in the UK now, instead of an overpriced CRO, might get us there.

As If we hadn't seen videos like that before...

I think your logic also applies to the 2m annoucement , I doubt that this can be fully recognized as revenue because of the contract duration.

I'm more interested in the new (smaller) deals, if the startegy really works, they should be the foundation for the land and expand strategy and future growth, also the ratio between direct deals and channel egagement would be interesting.

I keep repeating myself, where are the new contracts, nothing so far, Bank of A. doesn't count, same for GM.

Lot's of unkept promises and talk about successful realignment, but no numbers to proof it.

Maybe reffering to people as trolls isn't the most charming thing to do....

I don't know where the SP will end up, but I don't see them making profit anytime soon.

I don't think that the math behind employees and channel or partner opportunities makes sense.

If it would be that simple, why did it take them so long to figure that out.

Bear in mind that's the same management that kept promising new deals and cashflow breakeven several times.

The Hadoop installations are limited, maybe there is just not enough business there to make this profitable.

Maybe you don't need SK and his friends and run the whole operation on a smaller scale. Even today the ratio between people on the ground selling that stuff and Directors and VPs is absurd.

Maybe, I'm wrong and all of last year's promises come through.

They were overstaffed big time when SK joined, not so sure now, Everybody made fun of those ranting about the 3 CRO mystery, I just wonder now, where is Cirata's salesforce?

Ciratas solution stack is not a commodity app, where you click on install and runs smooth, so I doubt that PS can handle customers with a copy and paste approach.

I know partners may take some of the workload, but first they need to gain experience and need to be trained.

In order for the land and expand approach to work - we all want the businesss to scale up quickly - I wouldn't cut down on PS/CS.

I also believe that R&D needs to be staffed properly, because they need to stay on top of the innovation foodchain.

Hm, I don't know. Even if you do similar deals, you still need PS and CS ressources twice. There is no scenario you can implement Cirata without that.

And they did let go some good CS staff unfortunately 😢.

Also following your logic, the two CRO's they kicked out, we're obviously not relevant to revenue generation 😬.

I agree to some extent, but I think even when dealing with partners (and that seems to be the route they're taking right now) you need more than one SE.

Cirata's solution stack isn't something you buy from an appstore (AWS, GCP or Azure), you need people who are highly skilled and trained and you do need a lot of PS and CS ressouces, hence I worry that they sacked a lot of good people.

Curious, when we learn more about the 'other' deals that they were closing in 2024.

They laid off a lot of people, also in CS.

I wonder how they are planning to run sales with one SE in the US and just a VP in EMEA.

Always bad if people loose their jobs, but you won't be able to pin Baker to any of the opportunities that they renewed or expanded.

I'm also a glass half full type of guy, there were just so many disappointments and misjudgedments for my taste.

Beause it's Sunday: I do think that Cirata has decent technology and probably one of the best CTO's in the business and Chris Cochran knows what he's doing.

I didn't say anything negative, it's just a fact.

Everybody is talking about AI, Linkedin is flooded with AI experts these days.

Of course, AI is fueled by data, analytics happens in the cloud, but saying that 'AI and its tools are also part of the company' is a more than far fetched.

The magic is found in the continuous movement of data (Autonomous driving and so on), not the migration part.
