Ad thanks for the testing numbers article. That would explain the delay in stage 2 of the DHSC contract...not sure if it is a sign it won’t happen or not...sounds to me like government are pretty determined to continue with roll out...hopefully Promate and pipette free testing will smooth the way!

I spoke to a friend who is a nurse today, staff are being tested twice weekly with lateral flow (Innova I think)...postives need PCR. Ridiculous for hospital staff!

I agree with Lolo - I think this company is still perceived as a covid stock and no matter that it’s having the most incredible year, beyond the pandemic the market does not see where it is going. Markets are used to valuing companies on forward forecasts and growth, it doesn’t quite know what to do with this one when it comes to valuation (even Richard Leonard said as much in the pi world podcast ). So until there are numbers and a clear future strategy out there, I think there’s too much uncertainty around where Nova might be going post covid - not a view shared by many here, but in the market generally.

Although they do say they are introducing new tech, which could be anybody’s I guess...

I’d agree. It’s possible that when asking ‘can we deal now?’ and the French rule, they may have thought about where they were and been of the view that they do not expect confirmation of DHSC or care home stuff before the end of November so that put them in the clear to deal. It also provides a clear window before announcement of results in January, for which there is a fixed ‘close period’ of two months in which no dealing is permitted by BOD.

I know AIM rules very well but not so much the French ones, I think there is something around 2 weeks gap between dealing and announcements but I would stand by the principle I described below about what they don’t know, insofar as if they know they will be announcing psi in the following 2weeks they shouldn’t deal. But it all works from ‘can I deal now’ atarting point as opposed to ‘can I announce this now’...there will always be periods when company has psi that the market does not but it should not be withheld because of past dealings.

It’s only insider knowledge if you know it at the time of trading and the market doesn’t. If something happens after you deal that you didn’t know was going to happen (be it confirmation of a massive new contract you were hoping for but did not know would come through, or your factory burning down), it should be announced without delay.

Rosco I’m sure someone more knowledgable will help further and PrimerDesign Tests have approval (including, I think Winterplex recently) but I think part of the problem with trying to establish take up in France is the way the system works there, where instead of government buying a set amount, with a tender/public document declaring purchase, they reimburse people/clinics for the tests as they are used.

The rules apply to a set period before scheduled announcements of results. I doubt that this launch alone would be considered price sensitive (and the press release without rns has proven that correct). If they now have price sensitive info that they did not know about when they dealt (if they had known then they shouldn't deal) then it should be released without delay. However I am surprised they didn't release it via RNS Reach, which is for PR rather than official RNS announcements.

Just a reminder, it wasn’t just directors buying shares but also increasing machine production capacity by five times-don’t think any company does this on the basis of a hope and a prayer...

I think the market reaction to the vaccine results was the main event, approval prior to roll out feels like a formality to be honest. The market can be crazy though!

Let the MM’s do what they will, another rollercoaster Monday might be in store, there’s so much press about tests at the same time as the fantastic AZ announcement ...personally I’d rather get today out of the way and have a great rns tomorrow to get full effect!
