I would prefer it if the company focused on covid for the time being and took their time reinvesting the cashpile - there is nothing wrong in this unprecedented situation to wait a little to get a better picture of the emerging diagnostic landscape post-covid before getting out the cheque book...

It would surprise me - I don't think it's realistic to supply every single UK test. I'd prefer us to focus on being recognised as a global leader in PCR testing as well as our antibody offering.

To be fair it's not realistic to quickly go and test everyone using PCR but going forward I imagine the use of LFTs will be phased out...

Bought another big chunk this afternoon so am now holding more novacyt shares than I ever have - the great press PCR is getting is the polar opposite of the narrative Captain Stanley has been using on this bb for months in order to panic holders (that PCR is obsolete and will be made redundant by rapid tests) . We now have an incredibly strong distribution network all over the world and will almost certainly be selling tens of millions of tests a month for a long time to come...

Most of the people you've been accusing of ramping recently are LTHs, not pump and dump merchants. You're the predator that tries to benefit from that so-called ramping with a quick trade in and out.. The decent, well researched investors here want to promote what is likely to become one of the best treatments for battling covid for many years to come.

Didn't biontech say they would have data in two weeks, rather than now? To me that's not the issue regarding synairgen... what is evident is that there is the potential for mutations to render these vaccines ineffective. That alone adds to the investment case here.

This negativity around LFTs helps novacyt in other ways - currently many fit to fly providers offer a choice of LFT or PCR (our test in many cases here in the UK) but if they drop the LFT option and go with a mandatory PCR test then our air travel related sales will surely rocket.

I think the message is finally getting through - it's shifting from a handful of dissenters to scientific consensus now.

What's all the hate about this morning?! I reduced my stake a few weeks ago as my gains meant ncyt went from 20% of my portfolio to 55% and LFTs were getting all the attention. At around £9 I didn't think the investment case was as strong as when I bought at £3.

I bought back the shares I sold not because of a sodding rns, but because of a number of factors, most notably the positivity around PCR testing going forward. I believe sentiment is still with us and we will finish the week above £9.50, probably higher.
