If our cash pile was based purely on getting in on covid a few months before the rest of the market I would sell up and be done with this investment now but imo it feels like novacyt/primer design/genesig real time pcr kit is considered the real deal and at least on a par with the kit from the real heavyweights in the sector. With the pcr market burgeoning this stands the company in great stead and leaves them well primed to take advantage of the need to future-proof and prepare for likely pandemics to come...

I'm not a trader and will see this investment through but god would it be pleasing to get the rns/rns' we are looking for this week - this feels like it's just waiting to be let out of the traps...

Every now and again I pop on here and there's no choice but to just go and come back later - filtering doesn't do it as there's always new accounts and also people replying to the green bin which makes little to no sense. Argh!!!

ShareExpert if results point towards full year profits being 50% then we won't keep having pullbacks, it will at some point run free to a p/e in line with its competitors and a share price ~ £5.

This pandemic is going on long enough now to radically change consumer behaviour for good. Human beings are remarkably habitual creatures and once they get used to one way of doing things will largely stick to that. My neighbours are a good example. They are an elderly pair who asked me to help out with shopping as they weren't sure they should be spending so much time in supermarkets. After doing it a few times I encouraged them to give online food shopping a go... they've taken to it like a duck to water. I see both the Ocado and Tesco van pulling up weekly now and one of them rushing out to greet the delivery driver with big grins on their faces. They told me a couple of days ago that they are unlikely to ever do big supermarket trips ever again!

We don't yet know what the online fashion landscape will look like in the future and possibly other companies will make the transition successfully, but we do know that those resistant to moving online won't have a rosy future.

I don't know how many times I am going to repeat sales are vanity, profits are sanity.

Unless we tell you Boohoo has seen between 40% and 100% profits every year since 2015 - then suddenly you come up with a whole load of reasons why this means nothing and they'll suddenly be making huge losses and the business will be sold for scrap etc etc

I'm genuinely amazed that there is an investor out there as passionate about ABF/primark as our Kallu - as it happens I have some ABF shares as I see it as a nice safe investment ticking over 5 or so % returns a year but I certainly don't see it as my route to financial freedom!

Looks like ncyt will be heavily involved in the school testing rollout...

Figures and solid 2021 projections will make the difference - a little sentence in the full year results about demand for testing continuing to increase would do the world of good!

Any news on who is providing these tests? Surely if labs then it's PCR?

What's great is that although there's so many manufacturers out there I think we'll be seen in the elite bracket alongside the likes of Abbott, Bruker, Qiagen... primer design is seen as a giant within this space, not a minnow. It's no coincide that 'genesig' is seen absolutely everywhere.
