At £4b mcap it will be more difficult to continue the sort of growth over the past five years but 800% is approximately a 50% rise yoy. Even a 35% year on year rise would see the share price creeping towards the £15 mark by 2025 - not unrealistic.

It's no surprise because this is about as sure a bet on the stock market as there is right now. Of course anything can happen in reality and there will be other investments that turn out to yield much greater returns but this has an exceedingly high chance of reaching new highs and with it fairly short term returns of 40%+

It is quite puzzling to me to be honest. Although for example last year AZN generated over $24b in revenue, their profit was only $1.2b. This year ncyt will likely make about a quarter of the profit that Astra Zeneca does!

Perhaps big pharmas would rather see how novacyt position themselves in the diagnostics space over the next 6-12 months before attempting a buyout, even if it costs twice as much by then...

Although a tad low at the moment I don't think the p/e ratio should be significantly higher just yet. It is not a sure thing to turn this company into a midcap medium term just because there's a cash pile at Graham's disposal, there is execution risk involved.

The reason I'm so heavily invested is not because of the profits being made but the need to build the diagnostics sector globally and working alongside the biggest pharmas in the world right now. When you combine the hundreds of millions building up in the kitty and the relationships forged with the likes of astra zeneca and GSK as well as the government, it's highly unlikely imv to picture us still stuck where we are now in 12-18 months time...

Anything is achievable with the sort of cashpile building up here but £60 if it ever happens is some way off. Imv every three or so months the long term picture should start to look a little clearer and the rosier it looks the higher the p/e will go. Acquisitions unrelated to covid will be an important step on that journey.

For ncyt to see a P/E in the double figures and beyond would require either covid to have passed (so we can see the long term outlook clearer) or evidence that covid PCR testing at a similar level to now is here for the next five years... if it's the latter (unlikely) we'll be at £60 off covid testing alone.

Leicesterboy, that's what we've all got to hope for. I don't think there will be a big backlash to the figures if they are extremely good but equally it would have been distasteful to update the market every month with greater and greater profits shown. I think even the most anti capitalist of people would give a minnow like novacyt a bit of a pass for making the most of this situation and would instead turn their attention to the likes of thermo fisher, roche etc for not doing more to help.

Those director buys mid November can be viewed as Graham telling shareholders you are not getting a financial update until January now (60 days) but we're telling you in the from of £600k that it'll be worth the wait...

I've been buying up a lot more from £3.05 down to £2.90 the past few days and can only imagine we'll be looking back in a year's time amazed at how long the sp stayed down at this level. How many businesses are there that were thriving pre-pandemic as well as during the pandemic? The list could be counted on one hand. Not only that the pandemic is far from over... sure retail might pick up around christmas but lockdowns are almost certainly going to be seen again later this winter adding further pressure on already struggling companies...

For all the talk of 'saving' the high street, we all know the input from governments will be lacklustre and its demise will be seen as capitalism doing what capitalism does...
