It's clearly a complete guess Shaun. As it happens the half year trading update was two weeks earlier than in 2019 so there's a chance that the full year results land around the 12th Jan this time...

And the sad truth is if his aim is 100 million shots in his first 100 days it will end up being 60 million shots and 40 million excuses why they didn't reach 100...

Woah, I don't even have a twitter handle, I just have a little like at #ncyt occasionally to see if there's anything interesting shared on there! It's not all poisonous, it's a bit rampy for sure but there's lots of info unearthed that then gets passed on to here...

It's a very common human trait to be pessimistic when things are going against you and so however much I try to stop it, when the share price is tanking and I see shorters gloating on twitter and claiming it's going to drop much further I always panic. I've learnt to hold off actually reacting but however many times the situation occurs it will always inflate my worries.

Diagnostics is clearly big business and about to get much, much bigger. It's quite amazing that novacyt have managed to mix it up with the two biggest pharmas in the UK and win contracts ahead of some of the leading global diagnostics companies hundreds of times bigger than ncyt. If we're going to see life-changing returns from here though we are going to have to be very patient... whatever the figures come January this will not reach midcap for some time but the better the financials the greater the chance of it happening. There's clearly a lot of business to be won in this sector and novacyt only need a fraction of it to grow 3, 4, even 10 times from here.

I will happily wait 2-3 years for it and try and enjoy the ups and downs along the way...

It's going to be very interesting to see what happens to the share price between now and these long awaited results. We have the £300m 2020 revenue forecast by Numis and associated £13.65 target so you would expect the sp to climb towards £11/£12 ready for lift off if results far exceed that (or capitulate if far below). Graham and the rest of the PDMR lot invested around this level and are clearly expecting the share price to rocket once those financial results are shared with the market. Fingers crossed!

Seriously you could of sold those spikes afew weeks back at 11's but greed made people hold, listening to those spouting golden tickets etc, crazy claims of 30/40/50 a share.

That could have been said earlier in the year but I think right now most shareholders are realistic and are hoping for much more modest gains than that. Of course 30/40/50 a share is possible eventually for a company that is building up such a war chest to invest but we all know that's not guaranteed and there's significant execution risk. Still, we have a chance with our cashpile, something other small caps don't simply for the lack of funds...

Bruce I applaud your defence of vaccines and I'm with you on the most part, but don't go pretending this wasn't something that was discovered yesterday... these types of things should be unearthed during the big P3, not day one of rollout.

I think about £350m revenue is priced in currently which is a massive H2 result but that could easily be beaten seeing as the deal with DHSC could dwarf that alone. But more importantly is what happens between now and January results (still about six weeks away). Visibility of orders well into 2021 is important so what I'm looking for is revenue around the £500m mark and a line or two stating that forecasts for 2021 at least match 2020... that to me is what 'good' would look like.
