The market is pricing in even lower BTC still and the possibility of a longer than expected bear market and with it a total loss of sentiment... otherwise at $43k BTC and expansion to come Argo would be a good bit higher at least.

You're a terrible judge of character Woody... I did sell (relatively) high and bought back at rock bottom lows (mainly between 220 and 280) so maybe try digging into your sack of accusations and come up with another!

The whole world isn't shut though is it? Are you locked in your house unable to live your life or are you grossly exaggerating? Certainly in this country the harder lockdowns were pre-vaccine rollout and at that stage the mortality rate was higher than 0.1% and the rate of people developing severe illness was high enough to warrant the lockdowns.

The article posted by Troublesome is very relevant because the current price action here suggests the markets are expecting omicron to lead to the virus 'burning out' leaving behind serious covid cases and covid testing for good... if that is not the case then novacyt are even better placed for the future than they would be otherwise...

Calamari what causes the biggest problem on here is excessive posting which drowns the rest out. This is true whether the spamming is positive or negative... it dominates the board and makes it more or less unreadable for the rest. In this case even if the majority are positive on Argo or interested in buying shares the board will have a negative slant due to the dominance of one or two single posters.

Well I suppose Hexam if you believe in the long term prospects of bitcoin then the current HODL + 6 months more @$100k is almost $400m. Irrespective of the growth plan one could probably more than treble their money from here simply from bitcoin going on a run around the time of Texas completion...

Having said that I had a little nibble this morning at 84.5p so obviously see value here!

Some of those same analysts were prediction ridiculous bitcoin and ETH levels by the end of 2021 and even more ridiculous levels by the end of Q1 2022 - I wouldn't trust them with your life savings.

Oh I do agree there's value at this price but I don't see it as 'a bargain' - there is potentially a lot of hardship still to come and one has to be willing to potentially sit on a loss for some time if they do enter the fray now.

Seeing as Argo raised a considerable amount of money well above today's share price I am willing to take that risk and will begin scaling in with ever increasing amounts if the share price continues to tumble, but I don't think for a second that this 'investment' is a guarantee.

Sure but whichever one leads doesn't change the fact that they are closely aligned - the previous comment claimed that global hash rate will keep increasing 'unless bitcoin implodes', which has never occurred historically.

Having said that global hash rate is there or there abouts what it was when bitcoin hit $63k in April 2020 and also when it hit $68k in November, so maybe there is something in that...

Bitcoin hash rate and price are very closely aligned historically, to suggest otherwise is false. Unless you have a plausible reason to expect global hash rate to continue to rise irrespective of bitcoin's movement?

The problem with shares like this that have seen such a decline is that traders and investors keep doubling down so when there is a sudden spike they quickly reduce due to being overexposed. It takes a lot of time or a radical catalyst to see a genuine recovery - instead you find many 15% spikes before retracing back to the lows.

This is an excellent price to buy in at but it's rather likely to go lower or at least retest this a good few times before there's any meaningful move back above a pound.

For those patient enough to have waited til now this is certainly an opportunity to start scaling in - will be doing it myself but starting small as there's a decent chance of it going a good bit lower first.

The nasdaq implosion isn't helping arbk and bitcoin right now.

At least it somewhat debunks the lazy theory that everyone should have sold last year when Peter himself sold at £2.48 - by that theory we should have all piled in when he bought back in mid November but we'd all be nursing a 40% loss currently...
