I have a tiny holding bought at 80.2p and have held off buying today. Got enough funds to multiply my holding by 50 times so I'm far from pumping.

Despite the terribly negative sentiment Argo is only actually 11% down YTD and keeps attempting to reverse only for BTC to s*** all over that... it's certainly not in freefall and suggests despite the lack of interest it's probably not a million miles from the bottom.

I'm getting tempted at this price tbh.

And yet people come on here predicting a further 80% fall

People have been back at work for a year.

And to be honest this could easily turn out to be the bottom, no-one really knows. The greedier (and more risk-averse like me) will just as likely miss out by waiting for better and better entry.

Total tosh - the gaps in the chart have less relevance when the fundamentals are so far skewed. Argo has raised around £120m since the sharp rise in the share price and is highly profitable... there is no way it's falling to anything like £80m mcap whatever the charts may suggest.

I'm hoping for 75p with BTC at this level or be greedy and try to wait for 70p (assuming BTC has further to fall) but any lower than that is unlikely without a proper crash in BTC.

So the 70s did eventually arrive although didn't personally buy any this morning - as Argobull said the bottom unlikely to be in just yet.

Ps IK tone it down a bit and have some respect for those nursing nasty paper losses.

Are we sure bitcoin and the nasdaq are not just the same thing?!

I suppose a small dividend wouldn't be catastrophic but I still think it sends out the wrong message. Theoretically if they were to give away the cash pile the company is worth little more than it was worth at the start of the pandemic.

From here we are betting on the company using the £100m to grow into something many times that, not to give it back to shareholders.

You're right on this byp without a doubt - the average person takes their cue from the share price however so now they've lost faith because of the slide, not because of the lack of communication.

I don't believe in AIM charts because I don't believe the charts would be effective without traders broadcasting the values they expect a price to drop to. For example I don't personally use charts to trade but I haven't topped up this week just because I keep hearing traders talk of where it's going and with no update just yet I assume if enough people read that they'll also hold off.

Self-fulfilling rather than truly predictive.

There are two distinct camps now - the one that thinks there must be a plan and a strategy behind the silence and David must be preparing for a news blitz that sets the company firmly on course for an exciting future and the one that thinks this is a total dud of a company and David and the board do not give two ****s and have no idea what they are doing.

I'm in the former camp but even eternally optimistic me is starting to have creeping doubts !

I look less at the european stocks as it's harder to access their updates and they are usually in french but yes in truth biosynex is probably the best comparator business-wise and they are holding up strongly.

Byp this happened weeks ago when many accounts started turning negative and talking about 270 then 250 then 220 etc and to be honest I'm kicking myself for not reducing somewhat and playing the game alongside them (minus the actual deramping). There are now 'jokey' posts about shorting this to 200p to make one's money back but in reality that's what is being encouraged.

I'll be as genuine as I can - I think this is probably going lower still before results (not as low as some people think) and I'm personally going to risk considerably more and top up where I can as I am hopeful of good medium term returns from this price.

If you're talking to my byp then sort of... it's only a guide but when you take how low sentiment has got on here and how low sentiment is for anything covid related now it would be no surprise to see this go lower today.

ODX is down 42% YTD, GDR is down 44% YTD, AVCT is down 35% YTD, ABDX is down 31% YTD, NCYT is down 21% YTD.
Mind blowing when you think YTD refers to just two and a half weeks of January!

Bloody glad I held off topping up yesterday before COB then - had a feeling it might go a bit lower first on open.

Will def be building my holding again considerably as this drops and crossing fingers toes and everything else that DA proves to be more than competent in the months ahead...

Fellow PCR testing companies have been reporting bumper sales recently - yourgene have upgraded their guidance for the year twice in the past few months and Sourcebio's revenue has just come in well above guidance...

Sourcebio turnover in H1 was £37.3m compared to our £54m and they then went on to post £94.2m for the year - I think the market is starting to price in miserable results for novacyt when in reality the chances are we beat guidance...

They aren't exciting and won't trade much higher than the 4 times cash they are currently trading at IMO. I consider ncyt a different beast however even if 2021 revenues are not too dissimilar.
