I think we'll see ordinary PIs collapse around this level as they try to protect some profit, probably a fall below $30k next before a long churn and partial recovery. Where that will leave Argo I'm not sure but I'll definitely be taking a punt.

Worst of all he shares outrageous price predictions over the very short term, like telling people he sees bitcoin trebling over the next couple of months which suckers people to gamble rather than DCA over a much longer period of time.

I'm the one that's been saying for half a year how dodgy and unaccountable the likes of Raoul Pal are - they absolutely understand their influence and reel people in with outrageous predictions which seem possible when everything is rosy.

What was Raoul's prediction for the end of 2021? $20k I think and that was when ETH was over $4k. What is it today? Under $2.5k.

Arbk finished at 71p with BTC at about $38.2k so that's worth keeping an eye on. Obviously the nasdaq tanking added to the fall.

Right now BTC is a further 7% down from here so would expect Argo to be in the 60s all things equal.

Once again IK it's got to be said... really quite wrong of you to start advising folk on here to sell on the bell.

Well I'm mighty relieved I decided to hold off buying here late on Friday... what happens next is an extremely tough one to call and in my opinion comes down to whether or not regular PI HODLers capitulate or if they really truly are believers and dig their heels in and instead continue stacking sats.

Poorinvestor you're missing the nuance in what is being said. I don't think anyone here really believes BTC is going to go to zero or back to buying 2 pizzas for 10000 bitcoin in the same way as I don't think BTC will be at $10k in a year. However the former is certainly theoretically possible and the latter is also realistically possible albeit rather unlikely.

CaneToad is right though in saying that bitcoin miners are not all that different from any other commodity miner, although I would say it *is* different to any other mining as it is potentially at the forefront of a new digital age - but yes in terms of the potential for it to crash, for the commodity price to fall below the cost price of mining it... that's very much possible.

You clearly have conviction that bitcoin will inevitably rise and rise and that's again very possible but it's not the certainty long term you think it is.

Bitcoin was below $10k less than 18 months ago - you are the idiot if you think it's theoretically impossible to drop to $10k!

I did read your post and it said there's too many know it alls on this bb... and my point is yes that's true and you are also one of them that makes lots of quite definitive bold claims about the direction of bitcoin, most of which are wrong.

Others on here speak in less definitive language as they genuinely understand that no one knows what crypto will do next - BTC could be $200k in a year, it might also be $10k.

I'd agree wholeheartedly with your post poorinvestor except you are the one that makes the big bold claims time and time again and time and time again they are wide of the mark. Haven't you been repeatedly calling a breakout to the upside for bitcoin for weeks?

Pretty limp response from bitty to last night's fall so far - further to fall one suspects.

Thanks Xenor but when I said either luck, skill or a mixture of the two in all honesty it leans heavily towards the luck (and naivety). My covid punts on novacyt and synairgen were in reality very high risk with what was my entire savings (£8k in synairgen for example pre P2 readout which then did over 500% in two days!)

At least by recognising the luck I've had it prevents me from blowing the lot on a further gamble - although becoming the youngest ISA millionaire would be cool!

Whether by luck, skill or a mixture of the two I've turned the £40k I had in savings into over £200k and it's all in an ISA (£20k put in 2019 tax year, £20k in 2020 tax year) so all profits are sheltered from tax. This was largely thanks to 10 bagging novacyt, 5 bagging synairgen and catching the argo wave on the way up.

I'm now attempting to trade alongside my remote work from home job (adding to my isa monthly) but further down the line when I'm sick of the computer screen property is definitely the plan!

£3000 with £125000 in cash :) so not quite 50 times but thought saying enough funds to multiply by 41.666 was a bit wordy!
