Wow. Totally wrong on this, hands up, amazing update.

And yet, Thorn, Avacta maintains a near £250m valuation in what is a bloodthirsty AIM biotech market where literally all of Avata's peers with a track record of failure are valued now at a fraction of the market cap they once were or have folded/delisted (GDR, AGL, ABDX, SNG, the list goes on and on).

That suggests to me Avacta is different and is ultimately going to be a big winner. Even you seem to think so (6103) but are just trying to be cute with timing of exits and entry.

Fab results Wyn! I only ask because I like to keep tabs on how you’re doing. You said things like ‘’the fact that I have been buying all the way up from 32p’ on Nov 14th as AVCT hit 80p made me think you were also buying far higher and following the trend (instead of trading) but obviously not.

Or when you said ‘I did top up at just under 79p on Friday’ 17th Nov, it again suggested you weren’t trading but averaging up and up as you were predicting 106p.

I’ve got loads more but I won’t bother sharing because they were obviously trades and you made money form most of them - again well done, it ain’t easy making money on this atm, I’m sure you’re one of the most successful!!!

You might not be losing as much as long term holders stubbornly holding through thick and thin but i'm struggling to see where your recent successes are coming from? I remember you were averaging up all the way through to those p1b results and now you've been selling down as it falls whilst still holding on to a portion. These last few months can't have been particularly profitable for you?

No dig just curious. I assume many sold out after Christina's uncharacteristic presentation on the 17th December but that felt at the time the pivot/change of momentum if anything, not 6 weeks later and 30% lower.

It's worth remembering on a day like today that the vast majority of shares are down as the markets wobble over Trump's ever more erratic world domination threats. Today's update could well have wrestled the price back in the positive direction if it wasn't delivered into such a market.

Realistically they have about three months to strike a deal otherwise a placing will be required to shore up the finances once again.

Would be disappointing but as a worst case it’s far from disastrous backed against an mcap of £250m, minor dilution needed to be funded through to 6103 human data.

Jan is peak rainy season so no huge surprise but sad to see all that destruction for residents.

I expect we'll get confirmation of production commencing next week but without much info attached.

There's no question that the commodity backdrop, particularly in terms of the tin price, has bailed AV out here at a pivotal time but it's also inarguable that Anthony has built the foundations of a business with huge potential and has managed to attract and maintain serious institutional support (Orange Trust, JLE, Talent10 etc).

You need a bit of luck at times to grow a mining company from a small cap to a midcap and we may just look back and see this period as that moment. I think so anyway.

Bagzz was totally spot on about production delays beyond the summer... but he argued from as low as 13p last March to avoid HEX because of it... he said anyone expecting 20p in the coming months was dreaming (it was 28p a few months later), he talked of the huge cost of equity placings ahead etc

So none of the warnings actually saved him money, in fact he'd have done much better just buying and holding when he was at peak scaremongering.

Some people are just inherently negative BBN and so tend to be less exercised by positive developments / progress and we have quite a few of those on here.

You're right though, the TP reviews have vastly improved, much more than I'd have expected... bodes very well for what's to come this year.

It was pre agreed that the $2.5m loan would see $3m repaid:

' Facility fee: USD50 000 per month. Fees for the first two months are capitalised and repaid in the third month as a cumulative sum of USD100 000. The total facility fee for the six months is USD300 000.'

Not sure where the extra $6k came from, perhaps for the delay in repayment.

Two things can be true at once - poor operational execution has caused this situation where a short term loan is paid off with 59m shares without the quick scale-up tin plant having started adding value nearly a year on. And Andrada were left very vulnerable earlier this year as the balance sheet looked quite ugly with the need to raise near term for general working capital purposes.

However the tin price has bailed Andrada out over the past four or so months and the opportunity in front of them is enormous once again due to the excellent backdrop and fabulous assets.

So, if you think Viljoen will continue to fail to leverage such an amazing backdrop then sell or stay on the sidelines but if you think he's even half capable as a CEO then this could be the start of a major turnaround.
