Given a Molefe production in 2Q26 of 8,500 tonnes, and a future run rate of 4,500 tonnes, growing to 7,833 tonnes from next July, combined with the fact that we are told Sable is now “fully operational” then is 4.5 - 5.1 Kt not too low?Potentially yes. It gives JLP-ers wriggle room. It is unclear what exactly Sable being “now fully operational” means in terms of production. 14Kt? 9Kt? 0.084 Kt (based on 1Q25)?
But if Molefe can deliver 3.3% ore and based on processing this volume each quarter then a production total of 5.5Kt still appears possible - subject to weather.
The number would be less the recovery factor, and less for any disruption due to weather during the rainy season, plus the accumulated ore from Molefe
