The reason for the upgrade imo is because it's blatantly obvious the original Roan design is not able to reach 10 000T per annum as previously stated by Leon but purposely not spoken about for obvious reasons.
There is no way a quarterly will be released until the upgrade otherwise the original Roan design will be exposed.
If Roan was hitting its 600 to 800 tons a month i can bet my house Leon would have been the first to let us know.
There will be no quarterly showing copper production until the upgrade... simple.. and that better work or else more own goals coming. After almost 14 years I'm tired of the talk. I need to see numbers.
If they were going to release a quarterly representative from July to September 2023 then Leon would have said so in the last meeting. He never mentioned it only that they planning to start doing quarterlys.
I don't see the point releasing the copper numbers as they won't be good because of the upgrade at Roan.
What he could do is give a proper breakdown of the chrome production from July to September.
And an update on the 600 000T chrome deal he was so eager to reveal in September but failed to mention any thing in October meeting and still nothing.
I hope you right. Just find it awfully strange that no one believes this modular thing JLP have managed to put together. BECAUSE if it was true (and I truly hope so) the share price would be 10 fold of what it is just based on this "invention " alone.
Luckily we only have to wait till November although I have my doubts about the time scale before we actually find out if it works or not.
I'm not expecting a quarterly this month or next month. The copper production won't show good figures (this period) as they have had to slow down copper operations to retro fit the new modular system to the front end of Roan. Yes they have promised 6000 tons for year end June 2024 but Leon has already said most of that will come through in the second half.
I would love to know what happened to the 600 000 ton chrome deal that was in advance talks 2 months ago. That deal would certainly lift the share price with chrome prices where they are.
I'm also wondering if these copper modular systems actually work... seems to good to be true. Why haven't other companies invented them since they only take 6 months to turn around and only cost a fee million.... well Leon did say they "cracked the nut". Time will tell.. what's another year or two since ive already been waiting almost 14 years now.
Also yesterday Amplats quarterly results showed 9 percent lower production.
Amplats is the largest producer of Pgms in the world.
Why pgms keep falling it befuddles me.
I totally agree Gotreal, our time will come. We can actually grow our pgms while others have to cut production.
Maybe pgms will now finally move into deficit.
Something had to give with Pgms so low and with never ending inflation. PGM basket at 12 year lows well inflation would had doubled if not more over 12 years... hard to believe Pgms are so low...
Sibanye just announced approximately 4000 job cuts as it plans to close non profitable pgm shafts.
Rhodium up another 3.5 percent this morning!
Gotreal, your original link actually did work for me. I downloaded. Thanks.
I was expecting an interview yesterday... but now that I think about it maybe they waiting for the next announcement from Zambia as to whom will take over the Mopani mine... my guess as I've said before is Sibanye.
Dorfan,
Now that Platinum amd Rhodium have experienced a nice turn around I'm expecting the same in the share price.
The deals that come through now will only help build
momentum.
Things most certainly coming together now and middle of next year we should see a drastic improvement in earnings.
Rhodium up again this morning.
I think what the market doesn't understand is that JLP just won a bid to process sl.g that has probably the highest percentage of copper and definitely Cobalt in the whole of Zambia if not the world.
This type of material is few and far between. This is huge.
I can only put the share price action down to a relentless seller that has to liquidate his position.
Platinum back over $900
Rhodium up 25% over last week.
I'm sure there will be an interview from Leon giving us a few more tasty details.. hoping this afternoon..
Zambia seem to play by there own rules when it comes to announcements...
I would have expected a RNS from Jubilee Metals this morning.
Abit odd??
13 000 000 x 0.05% = 650 000T tons pure copper.
650 000 x $8500 = $5 525 000 000
$250 000 000 seems like a reasonable investment compared to returns.
Thx Muis, I'm expecting a RNS shortly.
This has to get the share price moving now. I've just bought.
Copper production will only catch in second half. Why would they release copper production now when they've
had to slow down production while they busy constructing the new front end. Last thing we need is a quarterly report showing a bad copper number.
Leon already said in the new year we will see the true results of the upgraded to Roan.
