"Avacta will be provided access to patient samples and collaborators in UK hospitals to evaluate the performance of the prototype BAMS assay and to conduct the clinical validation study.

The work with the CONDOR programme will commence immediately to evaluate the test performance using real patient samples and will quickly progress to full clinical validation."

We really need an explanation of why / how this has taken 4 months and still no news?

Lots going on. Exciting times ahead, all systems go!

I think we will be fine without an RNS. With all the press coverage about antibodys not lasting long and vaccines ability to give proper herd immunity. I'm expecting we will see lots of market focus back into the testing companies. Hold tight and fingers crossed!

On my honeymoon many years ago now, I was staying in a very nice hotel and got pally with an ex company founder. They basically invented the firewall back in the day when email had only just started becoming a big thing (90's). He told me how frustrating it was when they floted as 'on paper' he was worth 10's of millions but yet he still had to make the mortgage payments etc and was in reality that well off but...he and his fellow company owners knew if they sold some of their shares it could cause a market panic so they were advised not to do so.
You can imagen that it must be very annoying, like having a winning lotto ticket that your not allowed to cash in.
I'm hoping and expecting this is just Al getting his hands on a bit of that well earned cash. If, good news comes in the next few days its a master stroke as he can then sell more shares at anytime knowing his faithful PI's will be quick to point out that its no big deal, he's done it before and good news followed.

Also a very good day happening for DeepVerge (DVRG). Maybe something coming with the waste water covid detection validation using our Affimers?

Well said CO. Its also part of my big moans about CONDOR. The WW2 generation did all that and a lot lot more under much more difficult circumstances than now yet, we can't get much needed test validated as we can't get enough samples! A very small problem to overcome with a bit of initiative yet 6 months later "we managed to recruit 3 people yaaaaa" so we still aren't where we should be with it. Can only be thankful we don't have a world war now. We would have to surrender within days!

A large percentage of AIM companies have a MC over 30million with No revenue / loss making. Our figures make the company under valued.....just saying.

Doze, yes I would expect so. A government agency and would be a conflict of interest if we funded our own validation. Still CONDOR's purpose is to speed up testing capacity HA! just looks to be yet another government silo epic fail!

Time taken by Avacta / Adeptrix to do all the science, develop a prototype and get BAMS ready for validation 11 weeks and 5 days. Time taken for CONDOR to test if it works 12 weeks and counting!
I'm sure no one can be more frustrated than Alastair himself about this. You do the clever hard work and get held up because it takes someone (people) longer to do the easy part....reason "we didn't have enough samples" WTF! Even when positive cases were low there were 10's of thousands of test being done a day. Samples low, OK but what have you then done to make sure you get more?
I have been tested and was not asked if I could provide another sample for test development, is anyone? I would have been happy to do so but you do sometimes wonder if there are any problem solvers in these organisations?

Personally I'm not expecting significant LFT news until mid November (one month) earliest. If it comes soon great, if not, then no panic. Still lots of other news to look forward to until then. Next one should be BAMS validation which should drop at any time!

While we wait maybe some good wise words from a wise man. You would think he is talking about this BB? I hope Sir Al has this framed on his wall.

Congratulations, you have worked out some companies are different to others. Can you tell me the names of the big companies you mention that have dropped their saliver test developments please?

Pigster, I'm not suggesting BAMS will overtake the LFT which of course is the main event but don't knock its significance. It will add an substantial revenue stream to the company and the validation will be the first offial endorsement of how amazing our Affimers are. The market will then respond accordingly I'm sure, and we will see a substantial SP rise. Money is money, I don't care if it comes into the company via BAMS or the LFT and BAMS will make us a lot more money than our full year revenue last year. It will be big news when it drops.

It will be 12 weeks on Wednesday that our BAMS has been in validation for. We are well due results. I'm expecting an RNS within the next 24 hours.

Very hopeful this means our BAMS validation and approval is imminent. Just 100 machines can do 100,000 tests a day which will take the pressures off the testing shortages. Come on CONDOR, get it out there! Fits in well with this announcement.

If they can pull the breathalyser and covid water detection off we will be more round the £4/5 SP.

Its a fairly big if but I love an exciting share and this is certainly that.

‘Aptamer Group’ are working with Integumen to develop their Covid waste water detection and breathalyser systems. If you read this and our 13th July RNS (collaboration with Integumen plc) they basically sound the same. Are they collaborating with us as part of the consortium or have they taken over the work we were doing on this?
 ‘Aptamer Group’ are also based in York and sound like a direct competitor. They produce Aptamers we do Affimers but to my non-technical understandings they sound like much the same thing. Find and attach to specific targets etc. Hopefully / probably this is Integumen doing a belt and braces approach by looking to include both Aptamers and Affimers in their products.

Anyhow, would like this confirmed but it also got me thinking if Sir Al would maybe be looking to take over Aptamer Group in future. Swallow up that competition and add another good product to our portfolio. Both being in York he is probably already on first name terms with their CEOs and I think they are small so cheap for Al and his big (soon to be massive) pockets. Anyone else’s thoughts on this would be good.
