Referring back to TraderBuckie's post from earlier. You don't get your NHS to down tools and vaccinate (something you know will harm many lives) without knowing its the lesser evil.
I think we are not being told everything. We knew how bad Delta was and didn't go to these lengths, and now we are upping the effort for a less dangerous version? Nope, think not! That does not make sense. They have see something and it's scaring them, it will all come to light at some point.

It's therefore also practically impossible to think we will not benefit from this panic stations situation in some way andni expect it will be in a big way.

The real spread is tiny. Only 0.5p between the buy and sell price. I'm also getting a NT if trying buy anything over 7k worth.....shares in the rang running low so exspect a tick up soon.

Maybe so rxdav but I'm hopeful we will be able to keep hold of gains.
People tracking / investing in (so called) covid stocks have seen many a great rise followed by great falls. People hopefully will see the reasons for these and how ABDX is a different situation.
The great rises have been due to 'we have developed a good test' - 'our test has been validated and has these great S&S numbers' - our test is now CE marked....etc etc. All these bits of news create a buzz and a good SP rise....but then.
People get bored / work out that it doesn't actually mean anything until there are orders for said test and money coming in.
Our next bit of news will =£'s! Real money coming in and with our spare capacity the good chance that that sort of news will keep coming in.
II's love a good SP rise like the rest of us but what they really want is profit making companies paying dividends. If we get anywhere near full capacity dividends will be paid I'm sure and this will stop any big investors selling.

My sister-in-law is a GP. Having a chat with her the other day and she was saying. One of the biggest concerns with Omicron is that it will infected people who previously had covid and those vaccinated. The not so obvious bad to this is not being spoken about yet. It gives Covid the perfect opertunity to mutate once again. The more people that get it the higher the chance of a new verient appearing and this is what the real worry is.
We are just at the end of the beginning of this thing.

Well I this is some big sell off day it has to be the lamest I have ever seen. One £15k sell don't think we have Mr big in town.
Just because you can sell shares doesn't mean its a good idea to do so.
At the start of the worlds worse pandemic wave in human history and selling stock in a test provider just about to manufacture the most accurate LFT on the market does not (on paper I guess) look like a good investment decision to me.
This is why the institutional investors are keeping hold of their shares the same way as the majority of PI's are.

Well trusting people have brains im sure we will.
Both AVCT and us benefit. AVCT MC is something like 8x high than ours so if people think about it, we should even increase more than they do.

As expected, no one appears to be selling them. I guessing this is for the same reason I'm not. The chances are extremely high they will be worth a lot more in the very near future.

Thanks for that heads up Rob. I quickly logged in and placed an order. Just (out of curiosity) logged in again (10 minutes later) and the same 'we are out of supply' message is back already! That must have been less than one hour before they ran out AGAIN!
I can't see how they could be holding them back on purpose while also peddling a policy that involves millions of people needing to take a test before leaving their house....there is no way those two approaches can work together....they keep running out because they can't get as many as they need.

Keep an ear on the live parliament sessions later today. The opposition parties will be ripping into the goverment about the lack of LFT's big time! It's going to be very interesting to hear the goverment replies.....especially, if someone brings up how they owe most of the countries suppliers money.

Jrlomax, we currently make 41% profit per test.
With our new machinery and automated systems now in place the BOD think this can be improved on further.
The price per test can vary but I belive the industry's ball park figure is £3 a test so around £1.20 profit per test.
We can make 150 million a year....tasty profit hey!

Yes, its been taking a stupidly long time to get test through the approval process but ours are all Approved, just not for home use yet, and that must be coming very soon.

One thing is for sure, the longer or more often we see this message on the goverment website the high the pressure to push things through gets..

"There are no rapid lateral flow tests available to order today for home delivery"
