I like to think I already explained what it would achieve. 'Do I/you need a booster vaccine shot?' yes/no.
Knowing who does (at this time probably only 5/10% of people) means protecting them without giving a shed load of people a booster they don't need.

No other country is doing this yet but that is because its never been determined what level of Antibodies means 'protection'. Goverments have been reluctant because they didn't want us thinking 'I'm protected' so I don't need a vaccine or to be careful and it would probably lead to law suits later for those that weren't.
Britten has lead the way with vaccine development, rolling them out across the country and tracking and monitoring the virus....no reason why we could not lead the way with Antibody testing as well.

Correct and that's why so many people keep catching it and will keep catching it. However, catching it is not a big deal for most because we are protected by vaccine/ natural immunity.
This, and only this is keeping a decent percent (even 1% can mean 10,000 + people each week) out of ICU and death.
As soon as that protection goes there is a very big problem for everyone.
Option 1) keep vaccinating everyone (8 billion a year)
Option 2, monitor people's antibody levels and vacinate those that need it.

I had kind of given up hope (much like the BoD) on ABDX getting any meaningful AbC-19 sales but, with a much better understanding now of the level of Antibodies that might not make you garenteed 'protection' but at least gives you/us/doctors a good clue, it would make sense no? that we all know this???
I read a good scentific article that was saying how we all basically have a unique Antibody status.
We all (well most of us) got vaccinated at different times, with different time lapses between shots, and different number of shots.
Some of us have natural antibodies from infection (different veriants) catching Covid somewhere between 30 months ago and yesterday, so some strong, some weak some none with everything else in-between. People with naturally good immune systems, naturally bad etc.
In other words almost infinite possible combinations meaning almost infinite outcomes.
The average Tom is not going to think about yet another Covid shot and go organise getting another "just incase" themselves. However If they know, I'm only a 4 out of 10 on the Antibody scale they probably, or much, much more likely will.
Surly a scientific goverment adviser or two out there who would think this as well? I'm hoping so and ABDX test has to be a front runner to get that gig?

NHS near braking point again. The goverment will need to do (or a least be seen as if they are doing) something, to stop people needing to go to hospital.

New Zealand have brought free Covid tests back to try and curb their latest covid wave. Looks like Singapore and China will be going back into lockdowns soon, scientist the world over are raise the alarm bells over the latest covid veriants (BA.5 and BA2.75) hospitalisations shooting up everywhere which means covid deaths as well.

Got a felling covid tests may be needed in very large numbers for a very long time.

I mean, why invest in a company currently valued at a fraction of its true worth that already turns over millions and should either make profit or be close to it this year, has millions in the bank to fund an exciting new pipeline of work and could get a massive contract at any day....when.... you could just invest in a company valued at 10's or 100's of millions that makes no or, next to no money so if all goes very well it might be worth in future something close to the value already priced into the stock!

I was once in Avacta myself, good company with lots to offer but on the Covid test front 'A' test, that was all I was picking up on. They have more than covid tests to offer, fully appreciate that.
My point was purely we only need one of several tests to do well where other companies are reliant on one.

I'm not giving up hope. The thing to remember here is we are not a AVCT, GDR or ODX (thank ****) for that matter, where we need 'our' test to do well.
ABDX have several bites at any cherry. They are clearly pumping their ability to be an out sourcing manufacturer on LinkedIn/ twitter etc. They could get a big deal with one of the big boys at any moment.
What I think the BoD should do ASAP is release a Trading Update that details what they will spend this new windfall of money on. Details of all the tests they are developing and commit to some dates they exspect to have them on the market.
It need highlighting that they nearly have as much cash in the bank as the market thinks the company is worth. We need them to build some excitement that will bring new investors in.

Best get selling any stocks at danger of making a profit this year…. Real money has gone out of fashion by the looks of things.

Even a company with a market value of £100 million suddenly says it now has an extra £6.3 million in its bank account, you would expect at least a 6% rise in the SP.
A company with a market value of £13/14 million (so new cash equivariant to 40% of market cap) and the SP does not move? No one can explain that one.
I guess confidence in the future of LFT’s is so low people see the money being withered away?
But really!? Covid will be around forever, the emergence of Monkeypox, polio back in our waters, the worlds now familiarity with LFT’s, the need to track all of these current diseases, their mutations and keep surveying for new potential pandemic causing illnesses etc. and no future for LFT’s
I guess todays conformation will just add that extra rocket boosters fuel when the market see’s ABDX get a big deal / test over the line. Hopefully not too long to wait for that.

Yes, got to say the Vatic silence is getting concerning. The FDA EAU, probably fair enough. It was always going to take time; I was hopeful for sooner but guesstermated maybe up to 4 to 6 months at the time. It was first applied for in March so would take the approval (hopefully) to come between July and September. If still in the process so no news, then it’s no news with this one.
However, what I thought would be happening now was EU sales and some hype and momentum building. Since the TT was announced its like ‘Knownow’ has become a forbidden word. Not a tweet, or single mention after by either Vatic or Abingdon.
As you say, its not ABDX place to talk about it but Vatic should be pumping the PR as much as possible. They are not, which does annoyingly suggest they have hit a stumbling block.
They did put a disclaimer if I remember rightly saying something like, “available for sale in May ‘subject to local authorisation” or words to that affect.
Hopefully just some paperwork issues (Brexit nonsense etc) with that local authorisation and nothing more but some news on this would be most welcome.

Completely possible, it (mcap) WAS valued slightly higher than that just 17 months ago. They have the current capability to be valued 3 or 4 times that figure as well BTW.
When, is anyone's guess. As I said earlier they have everything already in place, apart from that stella popular tests that has passed all regulatory hurdles and can be manufactured and sold in high volume.
That could come tomorrow (vatic) and 100m+ mcap with it or it could all take until next year, vatic or any number of other tests or revenue streams. What I am as confident with as I can be is...it will get back there, and beyond at some point within the next 9 months.

I see it as one of the many misconceptions with ABDX. They are new to AIM but certainly no start up.
They have been in the business for 14 years. It takes a very long time to build distribution networks, reliable supply chains and connections with other diagnostic firms / manufacturers etc.
This with the recent expansion investment means
they are oven baked and ready to go!

They are good questions Muck, I have thought the same ones but unfortunately have no answers to share.
We should get the e-commerce RNS this week that will hopefully give some more details.
It is amazing ABDX have somehow not just sold some, but 10,000,0000 of these (simply Abingdon) tests without having them on a website or advatised in any way. Guess this shows they are very well connected within the industry, the 10 million order is a good advert to others to join the brand so im hopeful the new site will bring in decent cash flow.

Another example of undervalue/ potential here.
I know the margins will not be this high but could be close. If the 10 million order was for £3 a test and ABDX cut was £1.30 then that single order would be worth ABDX entire Mcap.

Court case ruling (surely?) – Government win should mean an extra £1.5 million to ABDX.
Confirmation ABDX have received the Government money (cut off is 22nd July for this). It’s the only reason I can think of why the SP did not raise more on news of the settlement, its not actually in the ABDX account yet so market not counting any chickens? Maybe confirmation the money has been received will kick us on a bit?

On the side to all this is Covid getting back into the news and people’s minds. Concerns growing for how the populations waning immunity will affect hospital admissions etc, and this is during the summer months. Everyone knows the situation will only get worse in autumn / winter, so pressure starts to mount on the government / large firms / institutions to have plans in place.
The sensible ones will be looking to secure testing capacity now. Fix the roof when the sun shines!

Sperm test! I had to have one of those many years ago (got 3 kids now so you know the result) but as you can imagen pretty awkward and embarrassing thing to do. Would have defo paid to test at home if available at the time.
Shows where diagnostics is heading. GP's will be a thing of the past in future. Test for everything and anything without needing to leave your house.
