Quite right, Onassis. The CWU spoilers on this board and the vile treatment of Philip Jansen received at the hands of a minority of militant BT staff only shows how desperate they are to bring the company and, in the wider context, the nation to its knees. Companies like BT, who stand firm against unwarranted union blackmail, will emerge as even stronger and more successful organisations. As to those who whine about Mr. Jansen's salary, you do not have the nous or the intellect to manage a hydra like BT. You are not the brains behind the business. You are the hands that make mountains out of molehills. Looking forward to the day when you all become redundant and technology takes its rightful place as the star of the show. We can then build an edifice to unionism - a cathedral fashioned from the chips on your miserable, grasping shoulders - and set fire to it. Good riddance to back rubbish!

In my opinion, it's all been done and dusted anyway. I reckon Altice and Deutsche Telekom will make a joint bid for BT, and that the government will permit this; as long as the interests of state security are protected. This would monetise Openreach to make way for even faster national fibre rollout, leave Altnets up the proverbial creek without a paddle, give shareholders a decent return on their investments, reduce the pension liability to zero and allow engineers' to receive a larger salary increase than planned. That way, everyone's a winner, methinks and hopes :)
