..not looking great right now and we are falling here in the absence of news. I interpret this to be a positive here but this game is by no means easy even if you can bet both ways to further reduce risk.

CS, you point to a possible 4p in case of a duster at SL and not follow up drill or Block XX. Who is to say that this can not happen. Just this morning BPC crashed (not totally unexpected as the SP kept on rising in the absence of any news and that was a signal right there).

However MATD is different animal, as a major drill (WH Block IV) is already lined up right behind SL (followed by Block XX). Why would they not drill as indicated? Surely any SP fall if SL is a duster would recover would it not to at least current 8p-9p levels during spud?

Nice bull flag forming since 17.8 to today and assuming that to be the case, am expecting a higher close tomorrow.

Could break 10p next week.

'Lucrative business opportunity' - it is disappointing that a better deal could not be generated on the table from other participants other than the Zubs who most likely would have pressured JB to make a favourable deal with both being insiders - the effect on SP post farm-out announcement has been negative and so any positive effect for the cash that the Zubs will inject to develop the gas projects has surely yet to transpire and reflect proper MV for their/our remaining share of this 'lucrative business opportunity'.

Assuming therefore the farm-in does goes through, I expect the SP must re-rate and so consider this a good time to buy in at these depressed levels.

What an opportunity if you can afford to still buy more at these prices!!

It is true that in the past delayed news flow did not bode well for the SP which has now dropped to 8.78p. Nevertheless the drop is on very low volumes and so the important thing now is that the SP at least ends the week in green for a second time (i.e. a finish above current price is needed).

Strong BUY IMO.

The SP has been shorted but the shorts appear to get closed off every 20-30 days before being shorted again - such is the patters of this SP. So I think this is a good buy opportunity and especially at these SP levels and expected news, it must be worth loading up from here post the recent farm out.

No, the market is (ironically) mostly more 'transparent' as to the blatant manipulations allowed at the expense of inexperienced PI's. I have awakened from the deep trance of thinking we can trust the system we live in and so now have learned to use the system to serve me instead.

Recent SP rise holding up well and now to nudge above 10p (about 50% Fib level) before RNS re SL be it good or bad.

So glad to be on the ride here over the next 4-8 months. GLA!!

Always sad to hear of such news and so I too would like to add my condolences to his family and friends. Always a difficult time for those closest.

(Hopefully his passing over into a different dimension was swift).

Those thinking possible leak will be disappointed, such things rarely happen. This is a tight hole.

IMO the volume was closing of major short selling, as the SP was manipulated over last several weeks.

Let's see what Monday brings, most likely a pull back in SP but hope we continue steadily higher to 11p-13p levels in anticipation of news, so that any drop should SL fail will happen from a higher level than where we are now.

In the absence of any news, this rise out of the blue supports the orchestrated short-selling that some suspected was the reason for the drop to 7.6p.

Well done to those who bought more around 8p and below (including myself).

May this be the beginning to get back to a more reasonable MV.

There seems to be misunderstanding on "shorting" - I was referring to the technique of short-selling which involves paying a deposit to the bank to secure purchase of shares and then sell the shares at a later date (assuming down trend) and return deposit and the balance is PROFIT.

This is how professionals are able to make money in a downtrend when the SP is trending down.

And so taking the opportunity of "no news" period, those same 'sophisticated' investors with an inside line who bought shares at 10p can additionally short-sell and once shorts are closed, the SP can over shoot on the upside if timed with news and can off load the 10p shares at a profit should they so wish.

Shorting of stock (IMO we are being shorted).

In such an instance, no news = good news, as allows more buys IF you believe the company will (eventually) make a discovery that will cause a re-rate in MC.

Even if SL is a duster, after this shorting, the SP will have a "relief rally" in anticipation of WH.

So in some ways, it is a win win for PI's who have the courage based on one's own risk profile to make the most of this opportunity. Not easy, I know but IMO that's the game and I am happy to play it.

Not necessarily do they have to release news seeing as they effectively said this will be a 'tight hole' - so whether any oil shows or not, they are not releasing any news until after completion of drilling.

That's my understanding any way.

Not quite true Mr P, it may depend also on your bank's trading platform. I managed to pick some up at 7.95p.

They can discover oil shows during drilling. When they report it is another matter and when they decide to test it's commercially is also another issue.

A few sarky comments. A few also expected to be well past 3p levels at this point. Well, the only thing that has happened was that MTR engineered the sale of a lucrative asset in return for little given the risk undertaken - instead of financing their share of investment cost of discovered T3 resource with cheap money from Sprott. Did anyone see this T3 sale coming, no?

I like the assets but am not sure about the way MTR is going about it. Too many great assets held by high profile companies like AMC, GKP, remember XEL etc and too many games get played.

Sounds fine, as always BUT it is some time in the future and it may not even materialise if they decide to dispose of projects individually and we own a tiny % of any profit on sale?

If the whole of MOD is sold, these sales can be engineered at knock down prices should MOD over extend itself on debt financing and then find it can't repay it - that COULD also happen.

IMO the sale of 30% of T3 project with proven huge discovery only to get bigger was not a great deal for MTR.

T3 has an EBITDA of over $1 billion which will increase with a greater resource and MOD can sell the whole thing for much higher than the measly value placed on our material 30% interest "...equivalent to A$27.7 million based on the closing price of MOD shares on the ASX on 17 July 2018 of A$0.48."

In return for this we get :
- a tiny % of MOD shares (notwithstanding free shares) which can be diluted, or we raise cash to buy more to keep a tiny %.
- A new JV to undertake exploration risk and if we discover, what then? Sell out at an artificial price, more pacing monies to keep our own SP depressed without reflecting true value of the assets held. Rinse and repeat?

It is unfortunate (deliberate) that they decided on no news until completion for SL. Why? They could have reported by now any oil shows or lack thereof and give an update on how the drilling is progressing, as other companies have done post spud but instead they it's a tight hole scenario.

It simply facilitates the possibility for more games to be played with the share price (at expense of PI's).

Waiting with uncertainty and no news/delayed news on AIM can often result in a fall in SP - just look at ECHO this morning. Anyway, not expecting that here but instead a re-rate or small drop if SL disappoints v expectations.

We have been held below last placing price for an extended of time now. It is what it is, just have to sit it out.
