We cannot have the EU dictating UK laws, just like they don't dictate laws over Canada or any other state where they have a trade deal, it's the EU that need to fold on the Level Playing Field, not the UK.

The news below might actually get a BREXIT deal over the line. 33% cut is not quite as good as a 25% cut, but nowhere near as bad as a 60% cut. It also shows both sides are willing to compromise, so a deal becomes far more likely. The market will really like this and will be piling back into shares tomorrow, which could be a good time for AFC to rally above 60p.

AnneOwl, OK, that was an R&D grant, which is fine, the EU do it all the time. I was referring to the Government paying for AFC systems, that is diffe3rent because it's not R&D it's sales, and that is where the competition regulations come in.

They raised £30m in July this year, they had no debt, annual cash burn is less than £3m, so they still have a mountain of cash.

No chance of any fundraising in the foreseeable future.

AnneOwl, depends if we leave the EU with a deal or not. No deal and the UK Government would be able to, but if a deal is made then under EU competition rules which the UK would have to keep to (The Level Playing Field) the Government would not be allowed to.

I think though that it's more likely the Government would invest some of the EV Infrastructure funding into the fleet owners pockets, so they can buy the EV Chargers they need.

Closing MCap's today vs yesterday and the gain/loss made today. AFC keeping up with the gains of ITM and CWR today, PPS falling away.

AFC £372m > £389m = +£27m
PPS £461m > £443m = -£18m
CWR £1,951m > £1,982m = +£31m
ITM £2,349m > £2,376m = +£27m

Correction, to get to ITM/CWR it would be 5x to 6x.

So far 4,703,694 traded over on Tradegate which is quite a lot (last Friday was only 2.75m in comparison). Add that to the 14,752,820 traded on the LSE and we're up to nearly 20m traded today, not far off what was traded on the LSE the last 3 days of last week.

With EV Charging now ready to kick off next year in a BIG way via ABB, our other market for generator replacement could well kick off with a multiple system order from Acciona early next year.

That means TWO markets penetrated with big names. Others will jump on our bandwagon following those.

We may still get a few other OEM deals in the meantime, alluded to by AB in his Proactive Investors video last week. And we have Extreme E PR to come yet too.

So IMVHO it is still a safe bet that could see it multiply up to the vale of CWR/ITM next year, which from here is 3x to 4x the current share price.

I said at the time that AFC must have had a big deal/sales pipeline to show the brokers and big investors (ii's fund managers) to get that much money so easily in the middle of a pandemic.

You could be right that ABB wanted to see it, or maybe it was not required to get ABB to sign, either way a byproduct of raising £30m is that ABB would be more confident that AFC could supply the volume of systems they would be looking for, so yes, I'd say it has helped seal that deal, and I suspect several more that will be announced in the not so distant future.

, good point! They may well be saving up the news for his arrival, as delivery of a fuel cell is not a regulatory requirement (so they have told us in the past).

My thoughts are that Extreme E likes to build up it's news, and that AFC are waiting for the build up to the March race for joint announcements of the AFC Charging system. So we may need to be calm until possibly February, unless AFC can get an EV Charger Shipping/Delivery RNS out.

Well there is clearly still good demand for AFC stock if you look at the buys vs sells, including the trades marked as sells that are actually buys if you look at the nearby sell prices, there is well over 1m more bought than sold. Also now 2.7 million traded on Tradegate to add to the total.

All the ridiculously small trades look like ii orders being filled, not by those but they are top ups to enable round numbers to be accumulated, so for example the MM picks up 9886 shares, they then add a small trade of 114 shares to make it a round 10000 for the ii.

With £30m raised in June, that's not going to happen until at least H2 2021, by which time the share price will be double what it is today, as a minimum. So the least of our worries right now.

Having raised £30m in June 2020 which covered "the multiple manufacture of new H-Power(TM) fuel cell systems capable of deployment in the next 12-24 months to meet projected customer demand ", if ABB caused a huge surge in demand that required AFC to raise production significantly, requiring assembly factories in USA and EU, I think ABB would be happy to become a strategic investor in AFC, in the same way that Bosch has with CWR, and Linde and Caterpillar have with ITM.

This isn't something that will happen until mid-2021 at the earliest, after AFC+ABB have been through their list of clients, approached them and secured high interest from them, and demonstrated the system to them when it's ready around mid-2021.

I would welcome ABB as a strategic investor. I think, as happened with Bosch, Linde and Caterpillar to our peers, it would boost our share price, not degrade it.

My view is that sales into UK, Europe, and United States could easily consume AFC's capacity, leading to AFC leasing new assembly factories in USA and EU (if a BREXIT deal is not agreed, it will also save on any tariffs).

To me, 'cost effective' is key. Which technology is used to make it cost effective in this market is not that important, it could be any technology really.
