I'll just add that if I'm already holding a stock then I'm interested in the percentage rise of that stock vs others, because that translates directly to my gains, but if I'm doing a peer comparison to another stock I'm looking at the MCap, the value of that company vs mine and any change in that MCap vs my stock, I think that is the difference here, it's a peer comparison.

Another analogy, you go to look at houses to buy, in comparing them you have no interest in how much their prices have risen in the past year, only in the price you are paying for them, their valuation. the equivalent of s stocks' MCap. If they look similar you wonder why one is £250k and the other is £500k, it makes no sense. You are not interested in what percentage they went up in the past month, only their prices and the disparity between them.

Absolute numbers are totally(!) the right way to look at it, as that is the difference between the valuations put on each company.

Percentage gains don't mean anything, only the absolute valuations. Ask any ii comparing the valuations of two companies, they are not interested in percent gain comparison, only the absolute value.

You don't value a company by saying "it went up 20% in three months, it must be worth investing in", you say "it's MCap is £500m, I think it's worth at least £750m, therefore I see good upside here".

If that's true, you and they need to be careful you both don't get reported for insider dealing, just saying.

Share price and MCap performance starting from the day prior to the ABB announcement to today, showing how AFC has been kept back, while CWR and ITM have been allowed to get further away, increasing the disparity between peer MCap's apart from PPS where we moved closer to them.

What is REALLY IMPORTANT here, is that:
CWR had NO NEWS!
ITM had NO NEWS!
PPS had NO NEWS!
AFC had BIG NEWS!

AFC 37.5p > 58p = +20.5p = +£138.58m
PPS 59p > 65p = +6p = +£43.92m = AFC gained by £92.66m
CWR 1060p > 1228 = +168p = +£287.28m = AFC lost by £148.7m
ITM 390p > 460p = +70p = +£385.7m = AFC lost by £247.12m

This shows that CWR and ITM have been allowed to re-rate without any news. So saying AFC need more news to catch up is not really grasping how the market works. Stocks do re-rate without news.

Very true, and all that does is invite gangs of shorters to attack stocks.

I am wondering if the H2 stocks will get press coverage in the new year 'Tips For 2021', it would not surprise me if some or all did.

I do hope that at least one tipster points out the massive difference in MCap between AFC and it's peers, so it's out there rather than just on the AFC BB's.

I think it's because of the value of trades that the MM's are interested in accepting from online trading platforms. 50,000 at 57p, or 75,000 at 0.38p, same total value.

These ramps are a bit pointless really. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, and eventually you'll be right, but how many days will you have been wrong? Far more than you are right that's for sure! These posts are just waste of BB space, dismissed by 99.99999% of investors.

Why plead to short term traders to jump in, in the full knowledge that they will jump out as soon as the next news hits the wire? Do you like causing spikes?

I think the vast majority in this stock now are just looking at what the stock will be at the end of 2021 or past that, and don't really give a fig about what it will be on the next news, or the many news items after that.

beachandsurf, the fact that AFC is so far behind the Market Capitalisations of it's peers yet now has a deal to sell into 100 countries, using the ABB marketing machine and huge list of clients, means AFC should be gaining ground on its peers, not falling behind like it did yesterday. That is what a rerating is about, but that rerating is being held back by the MM's and ii's.

I have no doubt it will be walked up when THEY are done with the games, probably on no more news and low volume, so no different to the current news situation it's being held back on.

It is very frustrating to see clear evidence that the price is being manipulated to stay exactly where it is, when the regulations governing MM's and ii's is there to ensure these games do not happen.

If supply and demand were controlling the market we would be 75p already. Just because it's not going down, does not mean it should not be going up. Look at the trades each day since the ABB RNS, the prices are being moved up and down to make buys appear as sells on these automated reporting platforms, but if you look at the prices of the trades you can clearly see the MM games being played to keep the price in this tight trading range, they are not letting it go up when clearly if supply and demand were allowed to run the market instead of the MM's it would already be 75p.

Normally yes, but the MM's are keeping a lid on it while the ii's load up. Seen this happen many times before, including on AFC, and once the ii's are loaded up the MM's rapidly walk the price up on low trading to give the ii's a quick paper profit and give the stock a more realistic valuation, one it would have reached on it's own if the MM's weren't keeping a lid on it and letting supply/demand control it.

Tradegate closed up last night, LSE closed down, so a 2.4% drop today is just bringing it back in line with LSE.

I've done some logistics calculations on the timing for RMS St Helena to leave port.

Vessel speed 14.5 knots (Max speed of the vessel according to it's WiKi page)
Time 10 days 17 hours

Yanbu to Al Ula
234 Miles
4 hours 27 minutes

Add 5 days to cover unexpected delays and for unloading

Total 16 days

So the vessel will have to be loaded and ready to depart by 4 March.

It could leave a few days earlier if they are doing several days of practice and loads of PR before the race.
