RE: £3 -3.5 - £ ?4 May 2022 20:50
JG1964,
Let's see, PWC who are very short staffed, only tell PWC on the afternoon of 30/03/2022, and SFOR do what they must do and announce it to us at 3:56pm on that day.
There are MANY possible reasons why it was left to the last minute, but contrary to your suspicions none of them involve disagreements with S4, because that would have been announced. Also PWC have not resigned as auditors (which they have recently done with several dodgy Chinese companies where there was disagreement). Also SMS has told us that nothing material is involved, and he holds 10% of this company and would not risk losing it all if he were found to be lying.
As for the genuine possible reasons that remain, the number on has to be PWC's lack of staff. Along those lines it's quite possible that those doing the accounts forgot the S4 deadline, or were trying to reach it but had to concede at the last minute. The people doing the work might be new to it, having been tasked with it due to absences, and the complexity would take them a long time to get up to speed. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point by now that it's PWC's issue, nothing to do with S4, and S4 know they have until sometime in June to get the accounts out, so they are not worried one bit.
