They may well be doing that, but QFI have limited themselves to the projects currently running, so the doors are triple bolted and they'll have to wait in line outside until QFI have gone commercial with MSAR in Morocco.

QFI picked Morocco because it's one of the least complex projects and therefore once trials kick off it should be the quickest to get to commercial supplies. This means those outside the door with more complex projects will have a commercial project to see the data on, and may not need to run lengthy trials themselves.

AFC's have fast start up times, and being low temperature (60c-70c) is useful, as they can reach optimum temperature much quicker than high temperature FC's. The S Series would be ideal for such systems, as space on the oil rigs is limited. Th e Extreme E system is a good example of how AFC's FC's can be integrated with variable renewable energy + H2 storage + battery, and could be a model for oil rig power.

This is not about a 1 day spike to £5.50 and instantly back to £3.60 when everyone takes profit. Slowly slowly catchy monkey! For a company with a MCap of around two billion, 3% to 5% a day will do fine, building support on the way back up.

The right thing to do would be to sell the diesel and use the residue that would have gone into HFO to instead make MSAR2. It's a win-win for them, at low cost.

QFI have said many times that we are dealing with multiple huge entities on each project (except Morocco, which is why it first in line for power trials), and these huge entities are very slow moving. QFI have also chosen to select only a handful of projects, so that they can be handled with the current QFI resources, you won't see QFI signing up for loads of projects that they can't manage without a lot more staff and money. So expecting a continual flow of RNS is expecting too much IMVHO, you have to wait for the projects QFI are currently working on to see trial success and commercial agreements signed, before any new projects are considered.

I'd say ABB are in for way more than £4m by the time you take into account:

1) The amount of money it's cost them in staff time to work with AFC on multiple markets for the AFC Fuel Cell (EV Charging, Data Centre, Micro Grids, etc)
2) Their multiple travel and hotel costs to visit AFC
3) Their hardware costs to integrate an EV Charger with the L Series
4) Other costs we have no idea about
5) £3.25 million investment into AFC in April 2021
6) £4m sale and development agreement in November 2021, £2m payable up front

Why did I buy more today?

When we got to the end of April, a lot of people treated it as if that was the end of the line for the Morocco and MSC agreements, as if they would never be signed. The truth is, of course, that QFI continue to progress towards the signing of those contracts, with 'boots on the ground' (as stated during the web presentation) now that covid restrictions have been lifted.

To me it is pretty clear that MSC really want our fuel, especially BioMSAR. I also think Morocco would have bailed out or been dropped by QFI by now if they weren't also 100% committed to getting MSAR. (JM has mentioned many times not taking up projects where the client might not be showing they are fully committed to MASR).

The presentation also shows the agreements in place around mid Q2, which is mid May, so next week or the week after then. Thus the agreements could come any day now, fingers crossed!

Keep an eye out for updated broker targets next week.
