CNA has been run badly, SSE sold their retail business for £500m. Hard to fleece customers now that Ofgem has gone commy! The only way to make money is to trade energy aggressively, retain and gain customers, EV charging and customer energy services (better managed). Hive is a big joke and big money loser along with fancy distributed energy and other conn’s trick.

Yes it will go down to ftse 250, newly demerged M&G will surely enter ftse100 along with the FTSE 250 promotions. The quicker the leech (conn) is gone the better but let’s hope that the new CEO is not working for liquidators and shorts. The new CEO has nothing to lose and can call in the wise guys to chop the company up and clean up Conn’s mess.

Spirit energy stake is worth £1.3b which should fix the bloated balance sheet. Best energy deals at the moment are similar on comparison sites that don’t get paid to push the new tiny Ponzi energy firms that go bust. New CEO has to cut staff, simplify energy supply business (easy as signing up for Netflix / cancelling). There is money to be made via EV car charging and energy trading. There would always be new tenants and new businesses who want space but the question is can the useless board slash their own pay and costs by 60%? All those fake invoices to connected companies and inflated expenses must go........we need an ETF style REIT that charges just a basic fee, no need for dumb execs. Just buy the property, let a hungry management firm do their job, no need for fake CEOs and CFOs who are just loading up on debt and liquidating the company.

BP could buy CNA to show that they are willing to reduce their carbon footprint. It’s not a money making move but pure PR. CNA would have to supply just gas (hydrogen) and renewable electricity. This would make XR and Greenpeace very happy.

So the FCA budget doesn’t come from the market makers directly! The government has no money so the sector fines, fees and taxes pay for running FCA. If activity diminishes in that sector then FCA budget would be chopped.

Sophos got a juicy bid today.......great! We need RMG to be taken private by an American fund / pension fund. Royal Mail needs a tech / automation do-over. With the amount of money private equity has lost in Uber, lyft and we work..........buying Royal Mail then making all the militant staff redundant would be the solution. Ocado has done a gone job with automation so Royal Mail would be better copying that model. I should write to Rico.......be bold and sack them all, borrow money to pay them off now for a smart future.

Spirit energy stake should pay down some debt but nuclear stake is currently worthless along with some assets sitting on the balance sheet. Zero goodwill and zero intangibles........CNA must work twice as hard to make money off trading energy and supplying energy......simples.

The Conn man is to blame, he is an old school entitled illiterate guy. In a world where customer data is gold.......you shouldn’t lose customers! The current board can’t monetise their customer data, can’t cross sell successfully but want to waste money on hive! We should be partnering with someone else to help them sell connected products. CNA should be using scale to take money here and there not wasting money on inventory.
The workers and general attitudes stinks also but this problem is U.K wide..........workers just don’t think they need to do a good job. The execs get bonus even if they bankrupt the company.........no wonder the communists want to nationalise the essential sectors. I just don’t know what school FTSE100 CEOs went to as 90% of them are just pure dumb screw heads.

Hey MrD, how did your PMO pan out? I’m still loving VOD even with divi cut........average is good and I can sleep well at night. RMG is good buy, Rico has loaded up like crazy at higher levels so this should come good once the militant union stop throwing stones inside their glass house. 300p - 350p could come very quick. Some here are looking for 450p upwards.

Don’t waste your time with FCA, they can’t do anything as it would drive shortsellers elsewhere. The U.K is the prime market for shorters and market abusers because our economy is so weak and can’t afford to lose any of their business.
The main blame is on the company not defending its share price or doing a good job so stop wasting your time. FCA must be funded by market makers so they can’t do nothing.

Just look at how valuable worldpay is after going it alone without RBS politics. Same with PayPal doing a lot better without eBay. Openreach is holding BT back from exploiting different markets...........about time to ditch OR onto pension funds. The dumb pension funds are buying negative yielding bonds anyway, OR would make them money while the government would always ensure OR is looked after.
