Take profit at 300p ........gonna take a while but the current CEO knows how to run a company unlike the former dumb guy who spent more time on his hair than the business. The U.K is like an EM market...........fresh money is waiting to be deployed once communist labour gets defeated and consigned to history. Corbyn and socialist ofcom are the main threat. Brexit and pro business con PM will do just fine.

Would be nice if unions are banned.......always good to negotiate pay rises and better contracts but not by striking. A mass resignation by the union workers makes sense.........they can defect to other competitors (work houses). The posties don’t appreciate what they have now but could be gone soon.

Pension funds would line up to buy OR for a huge premium. The government and ofcom would allow OR to make money since they know pensioners will starve to death if they restrict profitability. Labour would also have to pay premium to take it away from pensioners. Sell OR ASAP, use funds to turn BT into a fintech, telecoms and tech company.

You must be stuck in the 80s, Letters could come back in fashion like those big headphones! DX went down to 6p, bought more then got out. Gatemore stepping forward to run the company saved my investment as the old CEO was about to liquidate the company like citylink........dodgy bunch got kicked out.
Brexit leaflets, election campaign leaflets and many more letters will get sent via Royal Mail, tell your CWU militants to smarten up, add value to the company and own a larger stake in it.

The dumb union needs to create value by holding the execs to account by increasing shareholding as a collective to a point whereby they can sit on remuneration board and sack the CEO. All they do is strike, making themselves useless as ever.........just 1 billion shares, buy up more cut exec pay, sack the board and employ smart people to run the company.

Actually made money in DX thanks to Gatemore and averaging down. You must be one of those union sheep............useless and must be banned. Not fit for 21st century........automation is coming whether the dumb union wants it or not. Full automation will reduce RMG workforce by 45%........ouch!

Bring in 90% automation, use self employed workers only like Uber but train and pay them well. Royal Mail “the name alone” is worth £1billion now add all those land and real estates.........they have a license to print money (stamps = money). We need more people sending real letters though. Get the government to force companies to send paper documents to customers free of charge. CWU is dumb and should be looking at the current SP, use membership fee to buy shares then oust the current CEO who runs the company from the alps........,hahahahahahha!

Some people on here were so sure Liberty was going to bid after receiving VOD money but here we are. The SDN snippet and M&A rumours are circulated by MMs, those shorts and prop traders...........easier to make money by shorting in the U.K!

ITV shouldn’t be yielding more the 4% considering the low rate on the new bond issue. We should all forget about a bid and focus on the business delivering better results and moving away from Old school and tasteless Soaps / daytime - competition TV to quality SVOD type of shows.

Intu must reduce executive pay and encourage tenants to do some of the online deliveries from its shopping malls. It’s now common to have residential buildings next to shopping malls too so a lot of deals to be made with housebuilders.

Look at the bond market, if a company can’t issue bonds at low rate.......the SP tanks! ITV is solid after their latest bond offer but the shares are being used for trading by the main holders.......they make enough money loaning out shares and trading it since they don’t intend to sell anyway. A better divi cover will solidify the SP more. Every company is getting into studio / content business........more customers for ITV studios?

The market still hold the company in high regards to allow it to refinance at lower rate than previous already low rate even though the SP performance has been woeful. The bond market loves ITV while the stock market is not a fan even though divi yield is higher.

Same for the dumb CEO and his gang of entitled b@$t@rd$. Workers and executive must be paid according to performance and future growth prospects. Any bonus, long term incentives, increase in pay must be via shares only.

The posties would work harder and never strike once their performance is linked to share price and dividends.

I guess pension funds are due their loaned stocks back very soon. Jefferies saying “buy” means the hedgies and co have made enough money off private investors. No. 1 lesson is not to buy stocks mostly owned by pension funds and non-activist funds as they are responsible for picking the useless ceo to enable their loaned out stocks make serious money, kickback and rebates.

The SP is already way down so posties don’t care. It’s a real shame that Rico can’t get this sorted out. I still think every employee should get LTIP / Share options and not just the fat cats. That would improve productivity by at least 50%.

Rico needs to give the posties share awards / options that only vest when they work hard. Pay should be linked to performance at all levels........ the hedgefunds shorting this has made those posties hungry for real pay rise. The posties with free shares won’t strike if this was trading close to 600p.

The revenue increase is purely because of liberty assets. “brand power fading” .......this is my opinion as revenue has been falling while they are paying premium to consolidate in existing market (Germany) and enter new markets (east Europe).
The brand didn’t help in India so that must be a huge discount on the SP at a time when debt level is looking unsustainable.
