Ant, last raise was end of November 2022 so why would it be any sooner this time around? You dont raise cash before you need it and we could have a deal signed between now and the time we actually need to raise cash.

Trading volume has been awful here for an age and I think that's the real reason, I could be wrong of course.

I don't think it's a here we go again- yet. Cash is ok till year end, if we raise we raise end November and not before. Mid Sept is far too premature. Volume certainly doesn't point to this direction either.

Well somebody wants this down, hitting the bid to ensure the drop. Always a bit smelly when there's a seller hitting the bid for a worse price than if they sold via quote. Hopefully our Harry has something up his sleeve soon........

Just Darwin has a recoverable asset of 33 Billion USD, Sullivan an extra 12 Billion USD. ( at 72 usd oil) I am not interested in peanuts, I am here for the real prize.

100% payment of the appraisal isn't negotiable, the % of what is handed over for the appraisal work is though.

Also the first development is the smaller proportion of Darwin, we will retain 100% of the rest and as I alluded to at the very start there is likely to be more than 1 interested party here hence the choices for farm out as published on our website.

Nigel, following the money doesn't mean I'm part of the club but it does actually make sense. Those with money do not like parting with it through bad investments and some of the big holders here know more than you or I do when it comes down to Borders. My holding here is substantial and absolutely excessive in comparison to the average pi investment here, I have been here for a while and did not agree with Obee , his mistakes such as a full scale development plan of Darwin when oil was at a historical low for example and his numerous other errors, lack of forward thinking hurt the company. Obee eroded all of our financial reserves and I am glad he was asked to leave the company and do something else in life, a great Geo but lousy CEO. Now Harry is here, a money man with a full understanding on how the markets work- he was the same person who raised the cash to find Darwin all those years ago and I am very confident he will be the one to unlock Darwin. I am here for Darwin and nothing else, upside is tremendous against the downside right now and for me- it's a bit of a no brainer.

So when it comes to " strategy", there is none really -just investment. Strategy thinking begins when our partner comes on board and not before.

Rumblefish, it's actually very simple. The appraisal will be paid for by the new partner and any new exploration, after flow levels have been finalised Borders can go to market to fund our share of the development costs. This will likely be done through a bond scheme and or asset / reserves based finance.

Harry advised that Brimacombe has been increasing his stake due to his faith in him, they have been connected for years. If you look at the last RNS holdings date, his last big increase was on the news announcement of Harry taking the role. Gotta give big H. a chance, he's been here only a while and I think he will get us over the line. He mentioned the investment bank to me and they are talking to everyone that needs to be talked to in partnering us, the investment bank will no doubt get involved on the finance side. If a deal is definitely in the pipeline, hopefully we will see short term finance raised by another route (possibly loan by the chairman) or a small raise within existing shareholders only.
