I have little idea about the company although I seem to remember SCSW writing it up well a while back but the clarification statement was pretty clear. Or take it private. Translation of the RNS is that the sp is roughly the same today as it was at the time of the ipo. The CEO controls a huge chunk of the company and floated to make himself richer. That has not happened. Honestly that is probably because he has never managed to clearly describe - to people who do not gamble online - what XLM does. Very glad my limit was triggered just before xmas, because this is never going to scale the heights in its present form now. GS

@BB Fraid not! I did my buying yesterday and must not grumble at the price. Now set to hold until FTSE250 I think. So I am just going to put them away and stop coming here as it makes me antsy. Looks like a good call on ETO (which is still sitting in my SIPP - having decided not to sell in July - oops). GL GS

It also feel we are in the tail end of a bear market. So there will be wild over-reactions to marginally negative news. Example the Chinese economy ONLY grew by about 6% last year. As if this will stop the Chinese gambling or as if it will stop them spending at at least the same level as last year. Which of course justifies a fall in sp over the last few days of 10%. And we are talking about a stock that most pundits saw as undervalued then. So guessing where the sp will go over the next few weeks is a complete lottery. Each to their own but if I see anything starting with 36 I am buying more. GLA GS

Hi BB Good call. I only sold half. I may just let this flurry settle a bit before buying back in - as I read it the FTSE250 entry is only effective towards the end of March (although everyone knows now) but trackers cannot buy before then. So plenty of time for some ups and downs. If we get into the 380's I will be tempted though. GS

I sincerely hope you are right, but from past experience and barring the unexpected I would think the sp will spend some time between support around 399-400p and resistance around 415-416p. GS

Well, I certainly filled mine yesterday. So I am not grumbling, but I have to say, if I were of a suspicious frame of mind (which of course I am not) I would think it improbable that a holder of a 7% stake, contemplating selling and knowing that there was a main market listing in the offing, would not talk with the company before dumping the lot. Should that have happened (and of course it did not), the sale by any director of 1m shares at the top and mere days before such a sell off would be noteworthy. Since these two (unconnected) acts coming so close together seem to have precipitated the recent sell off I can only observe that their timing was unfortunate. GS

Fortunately my average was zero until a couple of days ago when UTW looked almost irresistible at around 140p (notwithstanding cashflow questions) and I added some. Which is the same as saying that imo selling at this price is very likely a mistake. As for arsenalxx - anyone who professes to be out and still posts spite at 00:04 am is either very bitter or has an agenda so I would be inclined to ignore him/them. I think reliance on recent RNS's is probably safer. GS

No coincidence whatever. Post prospectus issue JL is probably in a closed period again. Seems sensible to me and an RNS to that effect would be in order I would think. GS

@wold - no argument; we were probably just at cross purposes. I was just observing that generally tracker funds cannot buy shares that are outside the indices that they track. Which means their impact on sp happens on or immediately after index entry. GS

@wolf Good to see 370 taking a hammering today - only a matter of time before it goes. Correct me if I am wrong but I think trackers are (by definition) not buyers of stocks BEFORE they enter the FTSE or one of the indices. Otherwise they would not be trackers. The plus to this is that there is an uplift on index entry because trackers HAVE to buy then. I have seen a fair amount of sensible comment suggesting that the "250 effect" is about 10%. All of which makes 450p+ immediately after 250 entry look on the cards. Don't know about 600p. Nice thought though. GLA GS

Overposting here I know. Sorry, but... Interesting that the RNS today showed Deutsche Bank as sponsors and Lazards as Advisors (similar roles to the Skrill t/o). Nice heavyweight bunch who are most unlikely to let their names be used in vain. They will both have gone over this with a fine toothcomb so I take comfort from their inclusion. At the same time as feeling a bit sorry for CanaccordG whose days are probably numbered. :-((( Feeling flippant, I bet this is down by 8.30am tomorrow and up by 16:30pm. GS

Yes, but a little more than that I think. The risk with main market listing (apart from accounts disasters) was that the Skrill takeover would be treated as so transformational that the nature of the business was substantially different from that of three years ago (there is a UK listing Authority requirement to this effect as anyone who was in QPP will remember). Giving a precise date for listing almost certainly means that the the UKLA and the FTSE have both expressed themselves satisfied with a final draft prospectus and that they have suggested 23rd Dec as a listing date. So (always barring disasters) what was relatively uncertain is now as cast in stone as it is possible to be. Hence the shenanigans as the MM's will be scrambling to top up their holdings prior to the trackers arriving in December and (now almost inevitably) in March. GS

It is just AIM. Can't see anything wrong with the company and think it has at least one asset (which it bought from MOD) which may turn out to be worth more than the market cap today. Happy to wait. GS

...thank goodness my average cost is a long way below the sp, so apart from the nuisance factor of missing out on trading profits (I always do that) the gradual downward drift is not really a big deal. However I am intrigued as to why it is happening. We all know about the brokers ratings and the comparatives etc. But in addition, at the CMD the FD clearly said that synergies were being realised early and that we would see about $7.5m this year (which no one was expecting). That is roughly £5m and at a p/e of about 25 the market cap should have ticked up about 8% on that alone. He then went on to deliver what I thought was a broad hint that his guidance would be revised upwards when PAYS updates the market in January. We appear to be on track for a full listing and data leaks of 5+ years ago were described as being viewed at present as "Immaterial". So why the drift? GS
