startom: good to see you again. blondestreak is trying to get us down to 90p (God knows why he think his drivel will affect sentiment) and his trainee Daffy Duck (Mr.Drake) appears to be taking a 'posting holiday'.......Daffy was insisting that he had inside knowledge that the capital return was going to be 45p. Since Daffy Duck is 'on holiday' due to having so many posts removed, napoleon has taken up the cudgel. Or should I say damp rag. ATB

lr4850: I'm not sure about that. If you spend some time looking at PTH and what they do, along with the high margins and very substantial Canadian/US HC market, personally I'd be happy to see investment in this in the short to medium term. PTH could generate substantial high margin returns for us and THEN be a far more attractive sell-off....IMHO.

Absolutely agree re QPP, Rocal: lots of unknowns but I'm not concerned at this stage. I don't trade...I have time so long as I'm hearing the right noises. As for SXX....I've a chunk sitting in my SIPP as a 3-5 year investment. Atb

In this week's rns you'll see some detail including a further circular on Nov 11 which will have all the details/dates/time frames and mostly importantly......The method of return. This has not yet been announced . Atb

Evening Wtungsten:- If the share is still at 99p on the day of the capital return, you'll be given 90p per share and the price will then adjust to 9p. I guess the closest comparison is when a divi is paid. Most long investors seem to feel the post return price is going to be anywhere from 20-35p, and subject to any other news coming out subsequently. Atb.

He was also confident about the 45p capital return (although one of the posts where he claimed to have inside knowledge has been removed because it was lies). If he makes the same degree of mistakes with his shorts we'll all be rich.
