That is very good news.
If NIce requires that to happen with in three months. then we are suddenly a going concern just on sale of tests per year (£5M if I understood this right?) just from NHS
Then we cover operating cost including future development at current rate. (I would expect this to increase maybe a couple of tests at a time. As stroke marker test has shown it is just pointing machine at a different bit of gene. The process has been tried and tested and proven. It isn't like they are developing a whole new test from scratch). As stroke test comes online things will start to get very interesting indeed.
Be interesting to see what next couple of tests they are aiming at are. The last time there were take over rumours it was at first TB test launch and a company was interested to buy out to protect its market in India. Lets see who's feather Budd can ruffle :) to stir up some interest.

Interesting question for me is not when it arrives but does it mean that NHS has to then find funding for it in 3 months as other cases.
I can't find a solid answer to this at the moment.

Then you clearly have no clue about the company you have invested in :)
Take a gentle scan through the past RNS's and you'll see just what a pile of rubbish your talking.
GDR do not have manufacturing facilities they do have several companies which they are partnered with which manufacture for them.
If you have seriously been invested here for a long time you really want to consider if your cut out for investing because you have obviously missed a chunk of what has gone on in the last few years.

its just the outright lies that get me.
We will have a lot of new investors who don't know that GDR have never manufactured anything themselves! just a sad attempt at scaring the unwary into selling so they can pick shares up at a discount. (they are obviously such good investors they didn't have GDR on Radar till after it turned corner and now desperate to get in)

One thing I am sure of they will wait till all possible news has hit as they wont want (the board could not survive in my opinion) another botched placing like they had before when news hit and rocketed share price and they announced a placing at much lower share price that had obviously been arranged in the days/weeks before.
So timing of this placing is critical for Board

As to a fund raise. We know its coming it has to, they said it would. We don't know what form it will take. Many on here (myself included would welcome it) It would completely de-risk GDR in my view and almost certainly increase the share price after an initial drop. The question is when and at what share price. My best guess is after Nice and CE mark (or the new equivalent) for the stroke test. possibly even after some initial orders. when ever it is sp will be considerably higher than it is now.

My guess is that Budd won't entertain an offer until stroke marker test is selling at least in UK.

Before covid WHO had targeted Hep C in a world wide initiative to combat it.

I would guess he would wait for as much news as possible before placing if that is the way he chooses to go. So after stroke news and FDA and maybe even a hint at what the next test to be developed is.
My guess is he might not choose a placing if there is a steady trickle of hearing loss orders but if there are too few or too many at once a placing would be my bet.

this board should be (and once was) a useful resource it is now utterly pointless.

What the genedrive machine is, is tried and tested.
over the 20+years of development it has added design features like the number of genes it looks at and the shortening of processing time till result, and proved its accuracy.
In the US dod evaluation it showed it was robust enough for combat situations
in the HSN development it has shown it was easily adaptable at end user suggestion.
it is easy to use and gives clear results.
The number of possible test of this kind the kit could run is mind blowing. All we have to do is point it at an new segment of gene (how fast was stroke test development? has it even been kite marked yet? And it is most of the way through nice assessment.)
The potential of this little kit has always been huge. We just need it to realize some of its finacial potential and we will see its true worth is sp terms.
