Yeah, I topped up with a few this morning at -5.7%, not expecting it going as far as -7%. Would have gone in again, but I'd already worked this strategy on Smith and Nephew on Monday, so funds running a bit low.... :-)

It's a tough call with the whole market at present, but with particular regard to Big Oil and think we are all going to have to be patient and let the oil price keep us afloat while institutions decide if they want part of the action or not. With dividends over five percent, there will I'm sure be sufficient income seekers to keep the ship afloat, but I think meteoric rises are unlikely.
I bought my first BP chunk a day or two after Deepwater Horizon. I'd just got an AMG so I thought some oil shares would offset my petrol bills. Both BP and the AMG have been good to me over the years, so no complaints! :-)

In fact, I would have gone for 305, but it was already taken by sb... I was out at the close, and figured someone else would have won at 307, so I'm surprised. I expected we'd get a limp rally after the results and then a fizzle down by the end of the week.
It was Hikma Pharmaceutical which really surprised me today....

Agree with KSP. I think also, that despite this event being on 'slow-burn', the final announcement came as a surprise - hence the knee-jerk reaction. Opportunity to top-up!

So far we got a 5.12% drop in the SP....

I tend to concur with this analysis, and hence the lack of support for the SP. Nevertheless, I'm holding.

AJ Bell: ITV numbers are good but are they sustainable?
Bullish results from ITV (ITV) were no surprise as the economy reopens but AJ Bell says investors should be aware the longer-term picture for the broadcaster is less certain.

ITV saw advertising revenues rebound on the back of the Euro 2020 tournament and lockdown restrictions easing, pushing it to its largest ever June revenue.

Analyst Danni Hewson said this wasn’t a surprise given the economic reopening was ‘a natural driver for companies to increase advertising’.

‘This is fine now, but ITV’s position longer term remains uncertain. There is a structural shift of advertising away from TV and towards online channels,’ she said.

Hewson added there was a risk that the June figures were a ‘one-off event’, and streaming and on-demand will continue to be the winners. ‘That places even more pressure on ITV to come up with must-watch shows. As such, it will have to plough significant amounts of money into the studios arm to enrich its content.’

The shares closed down 1.3%, or 1.6p, at 118p on Wednesday.

Part of my thinking is that the fund will attract more substantial investments as the markets realises we are facing an energy crunch, with the clock ticking against us. With greater capital, I would expect the fund managers to steer toward proven technology and away from the riskier projects.

Ceres partnership with China concerns me a little bit. Arguably, it's not a strategic blunder to buy plastic tat from China, but having them involved in energy, telecoms and other infrastructure is looking increasingly problematic. China's escalating threat to Taiwan could be the turning point, even if their human rights abuses are criticized but ultimately overlooked.

I came here to get a feel for Ceres and saw the HO IPO scheduled for tomorrow - so need to decide quite fast.

I was migrated to II from Share Centre last week. So far nothing but trouble and irritation. Today I have the same situation as you - and unable to trade. I'm seriously unimpressed with II. How long have you been with them?

Interactive Investor have completely removed Tesco from my portfolio. In the seven days since the move over from The Share Centre, all they've done is irritate me. Still not even able to link a debit card to the account. After this, I think it may well be 'cheerio'... Anyone else a Share Centre refugee?

Sounds like HL don't know what they're talking about either, which is worrying. Their comments contradict themselves.
