I've not really had my eye on the ball with Aviva - not a very large holding, so stupid question time...:

What are the pros and cons of topping-up today as opposed to waiting until post consolidation?

Frankly, it appears to be an attempt at some very 'creative' accounting, which together with his unusual arrangements regarding property leases etc., that have piqued the interest of journalists and investors - which when put together has led to the situation we find ourselves in today. However, my feeling is that once all these in appropriate historical practices have been addressed, the company will finally be in a position to shine on its own merit.

This doesn't strike anyone either as excessive, or worse, dodgy? What's a plausible, reasonable, explanation?

Ah, I see now. I feel it may have found some grounding between £1650/1700 - but today in NY and then Monday with perhaps more clarity on the direction of the war may improve the clarity. I'm in no particular hurry, but have favoured building my Hikma holding for the longer term.

I was tempted a few times, but when NY started to look shaky, I decided to 'keep my powder dry'. Tomorrow will be interesting, as will 'Putin Monday'...

Right now, the answer seems to be '25%'. So the big question - now what? My holding is pretty small in this company, so I might just double-down. Any thoughts?

Also, the Valiant isn't up to specifications in several areas, not least speed, which presumably means choosing different or modified engines. In view of events in Europe, I don't think the army will want to get way behind schedule on this kit. Further, the Valor is more suited to operations potentially required in the western Pacific - so it does on the face of it look to be tipping in Bell's favour.

Despite what this megalomaniac might have thought before Feb 24th, one man cannot rule a nation of 140m when the economy goes into free-fall, and hoi polloi who were grudgingly prepared to tolerate him after the embarrassing shambles of Yeltsin. The military will have some clear heads amongst their ranks and make their move when Putin's adventure holds no prospect of success. To ensure that prospect is the international community's collective responsibility. We have an absolute duty to keep the pressure on him by all means possible.

No appeasement. It's terrorism on a national scale. Forced regime change must be the objective. The Ukrainians need it, NATO needs it, and perhaps most importantly, the Russian people need it. Agriculture needs to be assured so the world's most vulnerable don't starve.
