sorry to hear that one Apple , but your description totally highlights the major operation that goes with supporting a set of human lungs when disabled.
After reading and seeing ( up in glencoe) the total disregard of social distancing being adhered to by many i don't hold out much hope for the poor NHS that will have to try and make good this pandemic.
As soon as the gov shut pubs and informed people to stay at home we saw a constant flow of motor homes heading for the highlands , same was sen in wales , lake district and all rural escapes.
What a lot don't realise is if they get sick they'll be left high and dry ! there only 2 ventilators in fort william and the nearest to us is glasgow or inverness ( they're at capacity now too)
wifes a nurse so I'm hearing her concerns daily , she and her workmates are ****ting it ..........this is too real

i agree with your views on the market on Algw , really don't hold much hope for markets even remaining at these levels. a few of the coronavirus specifically stocks may see some through the worst. I've dumped 70% of all my stocks except faron and ncyt and ggp so far. Same as you quite glad to be up in the W highlands just now, although even starting to see the virus up here now, social distancing seems a bit easier though! Meant to be heading south for work tomorrow but thats been put on hold now as the accommodation booked for our team has been cancelled due to the PM speech this evening.

when are the details being released on lockdowns? wonder if ill be alright fishing a few hill lochs !!

The entire uk government s are slowly realising that testing is a crucial part if the battle, you cant fight any virus if you dont know where it is

Probably posted already but nhs scotland to be instructed to step up testing by scot Gov, 200 testing centres to be allocated

also oil price drop , drilling guys getting sent home as we speak

I see the posts from people not understanding the need for testing, i thought this was one example we have:
My sisters sons school issued a note on Facebook last night saying they were closing the school for a deep clean for 4 days due to a pupil who had been off for the week self isolating who now is showing convincing symptoms, the pupil IS NOT being tested.........
This means the entire school of 1400 pupils PLUS thier extended families DO NOT KNOW if they have been exposed to common flu or COVID 19 .
If the latter then the 1400 pupils and extended families will carry on the exponential spread of the virus its simple logic that testing is vital tool.

pity our PM didn't act on that basis!! needs to grow a set and make those difficult calls.

I hope they don't stop trading on markets ! i don't think we are at the bottom yet, most of europe and US just starting to take damage limitation measures to control COVID , when the virus takes hold and starts stretching thier controls and plans we may well see another big panic. Especially the UK i see the measures in place, so called delay measures smack to me of not having enough resources to properly shut things down. I feel this may bite them in the arse.
US not accepting flights from EU , but OK from UK , guess where everyone will try and leave from , exposing our airports and stopover hotels to more risk.
I can't see EUA rearing thier head until markets sort out , good in one way its the only stock that hasn't dropped ! they've got a great buffer from current market , but I'm just hoping it doesn't affect the deal they can strike moving fwd, the people they are likely dealing with will be consolidating and licking thier wounds for some time after this carry on .

Ive got a lot removed from market at present , some in gold but was a bit late getting that , i think this and BMN + GGP will hopefully pull things back over time after the dust settles.

i agree this has given them a huge opportunity to capitalise on , bringing future business plans within closer reach on the back of the revenue this opportunity has given them .
