Ssccss. I am too long in the tooth to even attempt to recover my massive losses here. I have a sizeable holding in Lloyd's which have done rather well recently. None of which reduces my anger at my own stupidity for believing what we were told by the bloody management.

This is what I think will happen. The delist will fail.

Roland will use that as an excuse to pay out less from the sale proceeds. The company will not be wound up. It's possible they will be forced to delist in the future. Who knows ? Will the UK ccs be considered to be enough of an asset to avoid that ?

Tempted to buy more but it would have to be a hell of a lot to reduce my losses by a decent amount.

Roland wouldn't even be trying to delist without knowing he had Republic's support with their 2 billion shares. Wouldn't have a prayer without it. Don't think he can win even with it.

So, the total votes against the delisting resolution, that we know about, are 1654 million or 1.654 billion. Can anybody who has voted against, please add their shares to the total. Voting closes on 23rd in 5 days.

Wakey. Yes, I think 2 billion will be enough. There will be many who won't have posted there votes and others who never look at boards like this.

I don't know how valid a comparison it is, given these unusual circumstances, but if you look at the votes on routine matters from the agm, there are only about 2.3 billion shares voted in total. Presumably, nearly all are from Republic.

Of course, it's a bit unreasonable of us to expect them to notice a discrepancy of a mere 2.7 billion shares, or 17%, on their own website. They'll probably correct it in a month or three. Unless of course we allow them to delist when they can dispense with the website altogether.

Yes. I raised the discrepancy with the company without any satisfactory conclusion. I assume the website is wrong as there has been no rns about more shares. Indeed the main reason for the sale was given as the difficulty of further raises. You'd think they could have corrected the website by now. Doubt anybody is surprised though.
